It is the Halo CE general discussion and this subject is about member conduct not about the Halo CE game. It would normally be allowed in an off-topic section but we do not have one here on purpose. I have allowed some lattitude because it is legitimate concern.

I don’t blame them, 12-16 year olds, for being 12 -16 any more than I blame grass for being green. It is just the nature of things and often time takes the perspective of time to understand.

There are no senior members here, and I am talking about age, I think there is only a couple beyond the age of 20. I try to treat everyone the same which is why the rules are very simple and clear: You have read them right?

There are 4 cardinal rules of conduct, knowingly breaking them gets you ejected no matter who you are. The other rules are just common courtesy and network etiquette. Many of the younger people have just not yet learned how to spell the word etiquette much less what it means. That is what you see in the forums. It is up to their parents/family and the “older” members to show them by example, and we already covered the difficulty attaining older mentors.

Your criticism was allowed to be posted and I responded to it. I don’t have to agree with all of it although I see how it can look from your point in time and space. The fact of the matter is that the members are the ones responsible for their proper conduct not the moderator or admin.

PS: One other thing: Although I pay for, admin and host the forum do not for one second think it is here for my gratification or ego. This forum is here for the people who what to learn and talk about the Halo CE game and not because I want to run a forum. It is here because in order for an unsupported game to flourish there needed to be a stable and constant place to share files and information. It is a rare 12-16 year old who has the resources to do so, much less the patience. I had both and I also have a ethic of giving back to the community when I can. This is it.

The short version: The forum is here for you not me.
