Hey Dennis, I think it would be a good idea for people to be able to submit avatar requests. They would submit JPEG (or whatever form of picture) of the picture they would want as an avatar. I'm not sure if this has been discussed about already or if it is even possible. Just that I'd give my input in on this subject on Halomaps.org.

Yes, but I would like to be able to link to URLs too, because I have a special image here:
 It is a "jpg" but it brings up a random Metallica album every time you hit F5 :) Also, I think I am going to edit the Kill 'Em All album in a way that would suit Dennis's Avatar Quote (just the quote. Think: the first three words in his quote... LOL) |

you can upload pictures in packs through .rar, and .zip formats through the upload button on the halocemaps section i believe

The avatar system is sorely deficient and insecure in this forum and has been disabled/removed except for the selection of existing avatars. If you want to add an avatar PACK I will consider it. A Pack = 25 or more avatars. They should be .jpg or .gif format and sized at 65X65 pixels. When I get the time I might re-write the avatar system to allow for uploading your own. But not right now.

i can't get on x-fire anytime soon... but how about the spartan looking symbol (like a weird hexagon looking thing) or the sparten helmet with graidient backgrounds?... i think you can find some on google.... and maybe the bomb symbol XD |

No, that puts too much pressure on Dennis which i don't think he should have to deal with. There are plenty of avatar choices.
however i would like to see Dennis give us more avatar choices, like some halo 2 and 3 avatars. Maybe more faces, logos and cartoon ones. |

Maybe for the next avatar pack?
Whether or not some are accepted and some aren't, I have 25 avatars ready for use. Thanks for the donations from the community. Now all that needs to be taken care of is where to submit the avatars. I also suggest, IF Dennis decides to do a makeover of the site's forum, that we have 90x90 avatars. They are a lot clearer and most text can be completely read.
