Still, big maps are fun....at times.

WHAT big maps-- total failure--- i just love close combat when the kills just keep rolling in. like no shield games or games where the cheat omniportent is activated (i shot kill) mostly in bc with shotguns. oooooh love that gametype.

Yes, close quarter-oh look a email!- maps are fun to play in, but being close quater, they get boring as you are in the same place nearly all the time. BIG maps change. Though that's not nessisarily a good thing.

mm i sortov agree that sometimes i like big maps on how they change but yes also bc shotguns omni does get boring when ur too good at it (rofl i got 200 kills in 1 game of slayer target) but thats just fun getting so many kills. yeh too big maps are only fun when there interesting like coldsnap is just snow there and u fly thru the air. whats the point of it. but maps like- i dunno what big maps are good-- but hugeass isnt too bad cus quite alot of people join the server and its fun playing around with other people in the cars.

my "favourite" big map would most probabilly be... umm dont think there is 1 because when i first played coldsnap i got of huge maps because i got droped of in the middle of nowhere and i couldent sewie couldent change teams or anything. thats whta put me off big maps. at that time i never thaught of rejoining cus i had 9 kills (thats a great ammount for coldsnap)
anyway. that put my of big maps for life. but i think the only 1 i would play is hugeass. but if i feel in a really good mood il play c o l d s n a p gosh i cant even say the name.

Coldsnap is my favorite big map, I played it for maybe 2 days before I got bored out of my skull playing it. When I play it, the only things i enjoy are taking out those huge & slow vehicles that launch nukes and capturing with a hog.

WHAT you must be jokeing me. coldsnap is not a good map only because it is so big that - god its just toob big.but i guess if thats what some people like then thats what they like, not my choice what u play. and when u say "takeing out those huge and slow vehicles that launch nukes". i just dont no how u can stand how slow they are. i usually put a auto typer on "w" when im playing coldsnap cus then i can go and do something els whils im moveing.

Coldsnap is fine.

If it wasn't that big, it couldn't support the tags inside it.

i like it because you can mess around in any giant map..... nuke teammates etc.... but not nuke to the point that it gets annoying...

lulz. I just like it cause it is simple, yet fun...

I love hugeass at night for skydiving, but for nothing else.

And extinction is fun for when you get a bit bored and want some big vehicle battles.

That would be fun.

Also, it does take skill to make a huge map, i mean, you have to make it so that movement is easy, and there is a good amount of things on the map, but you can't have too much, or else it will unbalance.

Everything has to be right, and knowing how to do that well, takes skill and knowledge of good gameplay.

I skydove once in Hugeass at night. but it was complete failure. The pilot didn't know we even left the ground it was so dark.

i agree with jargon and the huge maps like coldsnap are pretty good for machinima though

I liked downflow ALOT. It would have been the perfect big map if the cliffs could not be scaled and if the mythos and scarab could be killed easier. It was a wonderful map i think.

The scarab's secondary fire is ridiculously strong. (which reminds me, I'm going to go edit that)

Big maps, gm_flatgrass is alright, but kind of annoying to play with others.

Hugeass is...suprisingly popular, and simple. I used to be addicted to it, hosting it every time I opened halo, but now, I mainly host default because
A:More gameplay
B:More players.

Coldsnap, kills are just too hard to get, and I wonder how long it'll take for the mythos to walk across the map D= I love the jets though, makes you feel fast.

Downflow, never played it D=

Hotzone, scarab was annoying cause it gets stuck in the buildings, and is basically useless, but the map was...alright.

And...you want a coldsnap without hogs...wow...hogs are very important on these large maps.

Just for the sake of it, I hosted coldsnap yesterday. Got in the mythos and I was going unbearably slowly. Then, kept on betraying kaos in his hog =D
Not as bad as I remembered lulz.

Next up: To host extinction again!

rofl mm got boring. surprisinglly i redled coldsnap and started to play. i got a score. SURPLISINGLY. but the bad thing was when i was running for my jet, arfter i scored, it roled of the side of the map. i got pissed. so i left..... tipical me

That's why everyone has to re-assemble in the red/blue bases, the host will usually spawn a few vehicles so you can get back.

Hosted extinction today, but then everyone started moaning about how boring it was, so I closed it.
