Well. Something I haven't heard other people trying before. And for something diffrent other than Camouflage or Flashlight.
How does this sound "Press Q to Activate Nightvision"
Got the idea?
Is it possible, And how would you go about making it that Q means that your vision becomes Nightvision.

I don't know, I messed with weapont tags before making them night vision without zoom and couldn'T get it to work as expected. Scripts possibly can overcome that however...

If you want night goggles, you could make a weapon that can't shoot, check the "enables night vision" flag, give a zoom, and there you have it. Maybe if you gave zoom, but a low magnification level, like 0 or 1, you could have night vision without a zoom, but when you get hit, it goes out.

lol this is good. "night vision" is actually real time pixel color saturation, and is set in the weapon hud interface tag. Quote: Donut's unbelievably long hud outlining text document night vision- this is what the game uses to make things brighter onscreen. only when zoomed means the nightvision can only be turned on when you are zoomed in. connect to flashlight means that you can turn nightvision on and off by pressing the flashlight key. im not sure what script source is. make it 1. intensity is how much the nightvision works (1 means full strength)
desaturation- this is that green tint we get when using the night vision. make sure to check additive and masked. you should check the other two as well. set script source to 1. intensity is how much the tint is stressed on the nightvision. set tint to whatever color you want to see. masked refers to the bitmap used for the zoom scope. thats why only the square center part of the sniper zoom scope turns bright green Edited by Donut on Aug 21, 2008 at 07:42 PM
