It starts fine on Vista (apart from the small resolution) but when I start a server or start a new campaign why does Halo stop responding? Well I'm running Halo CE from an External Hard Drive, so do I have to install it on Vista's original Hard Drives?

Well normally Halo CE cannot use campaign maps so maybe the map you download is corrupt. To be honest that is the only thing I can think of.

hmm im not sure, it could be the hard drive, but i doubt it. its possible that some ports are blocked for multiplayer and you may not even have the sp maps

I have Windows Vista and you DON'T need any sort of patch. It is most likely corrupt map files.

HA that hilarious Dennis is right basically the product is not registered in the computer right now. To install CE and keep all your maps move your maps folder to your desktop and then reinstall halo ce. then when that is done move your maps folder back to your root folder.

It worked on an older laptop without copy/pasting the folder. But I want full graphics!

Yeah sometimes it goes to the compatibility files... Just give winrar administrator rights. By right clicking and do run as administrator.
