when i wish to mod a map i cant find a scenario file for it

this is where the im just wondering thing comes in

im just wondering where i would find a scenario file for said map

use death island as a example

just a question dennis:
when u reply with things like 'making halo ce maps', do you always have these basic responses in a .txt document on ur desktop of something for quick reference? :D

In much simpler words, download the halo editing kit plus and rip death island.

what do you mean rip death island like rip the whole file or just the scenario file

rip all folders in the map
click default when in the extract to window
and check the box thats something about using existing folders or destinations or directorys
or w/e

when i extract the tags the folder i make opens as a .txt file i thought it opens as a file folder


levels\test\deathisland\deathisland.bitmap
levels\test\deathisland\deathisland.scenario_structure_bsp
levels\test\deathisland\deathisland.scenario

thats what the .txt file folders says when i open it

wait what?
when u clicked the default button then checked that folders/directorys box then that will send all the tags to their appropriate folders. They will go to where they are supposed to go automatically.
There is no need to make a folder for them (if thats what u even said)
I have no idea what u are talking about a txt file being made.

ok so here's what i did
1. i opened hek+
2. opened the map file deathisland
3. clicked on it
4. highlighted all tags folders
5.right clicked
6. pressed put in extacrtion area
7. pressed start
8. a save box opened up in file name i put "deathisland tags"
9. then i opened my halo ce root directory then tags folder and it was a text file opened with notepad
