I have learned basically how to model, and at that, I would like to make a clan.

Basically, we will range from all different kinds of maps. We will not focus only on one thing, but many things. We will jump around, ranging from custom maps to mods. We will also range from Sci Fi, Modern Warfare, and Historical Happenings such as the middle ages! However, before anyone says that I need to show pictures before someone joins, I do not have any yet. All the pictures I have were just models and cylinders thrown together. We will also take requests from people, but they have to be reasonable. Also, I am using a fee site because it works almost just as well as a real site (Not really, but it still works).

So post what you think. I am not recruiting yet.

What does AMT stand for? Click the link to find out, but I'm guessing you already know.

EDIT: Once I find my DS charger, there is something for you guys waiting for announcement.

Ugh, just click the link when you don't know. It stands for "Assorted Mapping Team", because we work on many different things.

I dont think this is a great idea,well not at this time it isnt,dont get me wrong the ideas good its just it will be fairly diffucult to execute it.Mainly for one:most people are in a team and working on big projects such as CMT,H3MT,ect. 2-most people wanna join a team with more than just novice amauture mappers.Im not trying to be mean or anything but nows not the best time try starting near the middle of summer.

this might turn out like universal mapping team tbh. same basic idea but eventually you guys are going to find a theme and stick with it

Well, I basically have a lot of things I would like to make. And no offense taken, I AM an amature mapper after all, so I always start off with basics and things I already know how. So I announce my first project here:


Project Drainage:

This map will be a new, revamped version of my favorite Metroid Prime: Hunters map - Harvester. It will NOT be Metroid themed, unless all of you want it to be. I will soon put a poll up on the AMT site on which it should be themed. Here are the themes:

a. Modern Warfare

b. Halo

c. Custom Futuristic Style (Don't worry, I have ideas)

d. Other (Explain)

And to Rooster, I know gameplay. Yes, the maps will have gameplay. Just in case, I need Beta Testers.

Well, in further thought, I will make the maps BSP first. Then, I will start recruiting.

i say for the fuel stack map you acutually make the metroid prime hunters weapons. i mean all you need to do for some of the weapons like the imerialist and the volt driver is to just modify their halo weapon form like the sniper rifle and the plasma pistol. for the magmaul make the gun shoot a grenade and have it bounce twice and then explode, (ofcourse in a fireish way). shock coil is the only one i see having a lot of trouble making. i love to do this my self but i just have the right tools or the exeperence with weapon tags to make this shuff. but if you think this idea is good then i will try to help as much as i can.

Well, it turns out that I'm not a very good bsp modeler, but more better at smaller things (weapons, scenery, etc.) and concept art. I will try to design custom weapons with metroid-like effects, but I will do as much as I can.

For beta testers, I need rough critics, kind of like Selentic. I'm not asking you to be a beta tester, I'm only using you as an example.

i could get in-game pictures for you. i tryed to make custom crossaimers yesterday like so:

this is the crossairmer for spire.

this would be the magmaul gun's symbol that i was trying to use to find the weapon and to show it was the weapon in the hud.


this is one of the in game pictures i used to get this info.

and as for the map, i suguest an easiser one like combat hall or maybe outer reach.

Trace FTW. I always played Metroid Prime Hunters, until my L button failed to work anymore. And now my R button fails too. So, I can use everything but the "corner" buttons. :/

im not sure what you mean but that's the hud from the actual game if you didnt know.

im not even going to try modeling the gun. it look way too difficult for me, if anything the little sphere that lets you pick up the item like in the game.

Well, the one who focuses on gameplay, and modeling errors. Basically what you said, and not one who plays the map just to play it early and tells us that every thing's perfect when it's really not.

Nah, it's alright. I have heard before that you were a very good beta tester, so you are welcome to beta.

EDIT: I hate my computer. It keeps freezing 3ds Max. It gets REALLY annoying!

Modern Warfare it is. I can disguise it as an oil rig, so it fits in with the theme. Also, it may be to advanced, but we can try to make it so the bipeds randomize as the SAS and the Marines.

which is why im not modeling. Mythic128 is making the map. im making the hud interface for the guns and gameplay. i don't even know how u thought i was a good model maker to begin with. i don't even know where u got half the stuff u are saying about me?

Harvester is the one with two sides, a middle, and four platforms you spawn on, right? The middle has I think 8 doors that look like shield doors (but don't work like a bubble shield, or any shield at all) and the middle has 4 powers ups, with the electric one or whatever on the floor above. That right?
