Sorry to bother you all with another Sapien error, but I cannot get it to work (its sooo frustrating, errrr).
Well Anyways, he what’s up:
I have ripped a version of bloodgulch.map file from the original version of Halo (not Custom edition, but Halo PC) in Halo editing kit plus (AKA HEK+). Then I try to open it in Sapien through the Scenario file. But then the whole program of Sapien just shuts down. (Its sooo frustrating, errrr). So where do I go from here?? Does anybody have any ideas about how to fix this issue?? Thanks for any help that is given.

PS: like I said before I ripped the version of bloodgulch.map file from the original version of Halo, so I am not sure if it is protected or not this may be the reason why it is not working.

And also by the way, does anybody think that they should make a better version of Sapien, other then the one that comes with the original version of HEK

Post your debug.txt contents here. It is in the CE directory and contains information about what went wrong.

i will when i can, currently on vacation. but i will be able to do so in about almost 3 weeks so please stay tuned until then. By the way i don't think you fully answered my question does it matter if it is the original version bloodgulch for Halo PC, is it protected or not? Because that may be the problem.

None of the default PC maps are protected.

Never mind about the vacation thing, i am able to access a copy of Halo editing kit so i all good to go. Here is a good question that needs to be answered: when i go and extract the file with in the .map file in HEK+, do i put it in its own separate folder in the TAGS folder or do i mix it in with all the other files in the TAGS folder?

Also ,are any of the Halo Custom edition Maps protected?? thanks for the help.

OK, i finally got my copy of HEK+ wortking so here is the Debug when trying to open the Halo Custom Edition version of Bloodgulch in Sapien
