ok well heres what happened...
see my computer got a virus so i had to restore it.
well after i restored it i noticed that it didn't come with all of the drivers which pissed me off....ALOT
So after a couple of days of tedious installation processes, i only had one final driver left the video driver.
As many of you know, the video driver is kinda one of the more important drivers for someone who plays games on their computer.
Well i downloaded the driver and all went well....that was until i got to the setup process.
About half way into it, the setup stopped and said something about one of the files required for the setup was missing or corrupt-_-.
I downloaded, redownloaded, redownloaded again, redownloaded it one more time, and did it once more just for kicks, but nothing seemed to work.
I've spent HOURS on google looking for a working driver but so far I've got nothing. I even called up the emachine people, but they just referred me to the same place over, and over, and over again.

So now, knowing nowhere else to ask, I've come here looking for some one who has a working video driver for a E-machine T5048 that can give me a copy.

please please please please please if you have one, speak up i really need this if I'm gonna play halo or quake 4 demo again.

Ati's drivers which are more up to date.

The catalyst drivers screwed me up though and now wmv format videos show up with the colors all messed up. probably wont happen to you though.

Your e-machine is really attracted to other e-machines from the same gender? Oh god...

with these ati drivers, do i have to register my product or just install and go?

No probs. I actually have an Emachines myself which I've updated to its limit before it bottlenecks

yea i really need to get a new graphics card also.

Oh, didn't see that. Go with aklass's suggestions, and 8600 is extremely powerful.

He actually needed something cheap and its the crippled ddr2 vers of the 8600gt but it has 512mb which makes up for it. Your best deal is that 1950xtx its amazing with ddr4 and its only 100$ which is how much a ddr3 8600gt cost

Try restoring it again then redownload and see if it happends again.

Well, I use an ATI, which can actually handle Half-Life pretty well I hear. Now if I could only get more RAM.....
