This topic is dedicated to the releases and Works in Progress by members of The CE Modders. Please don't derail this topic or post off topic things. [Forerunner Shaft] This is my first BIG modding project. Started about a month ago, I had no plans to even incorporate an Elite into the map. But, when I learned how bipeds function, I thought I should use my own Elite MP tags. Pictures: Video tour: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EU56yuK3CpkCredits: Bungie for BSP The guy who made the Mongooses/ATVs I think TheGhost for his Human Turret The guy who made the Energy Sword FP And members of TCEM for supporting / helping me Download: http://files.filefront.com/Forerunner+Shaft+Public+RC1/;10090219;/fileinfo.htmlAny comments or suggestions would be appreciated! This is a modded b40, with mongooses. b40? ... WRONG. This is b30, and it's more than Mongooses selentic. Download the map and see. And Grunt, thanks for the offer. We'd love that.

At least it's not a normally modded BSP. Try changing up the levels bitmaps and shaders.

Ok , i watched the video and i must say , i want all that time of my life wasted back.
The map is a Bungie BSP , with various tags either downloaded or ripped Via HEK+ and then distrubuted in a order which does not make any sort of sense.
Before anyone starts praising this guy , understand that
1: He did not give credit to the correct tag makers , by logic , that means hes trying to claim them as his own , as if he was`nt , he would take the time to lable who created the tags and then note their names down in the credits.
2: He did not change anything about the BSP apart from weapon placement , this map has been released before as a different name many times , with many different variations of weapon placement and as such , the other ones where alot better than this.
3: The turrets dont make any sense being in there because of the simple fact that those type of turrets are supposed to be bolted down to the floor , in the scenario that you play in Single Player your attacking the island , so it does not make any sense for those turrets to be bolted down there , never mind in those positions when humans have yet to take the island.
4: No back story to the map , leaving it easier for me to rip it apart , most mappers put in a back story to make sense of things , make them have a reason for being there , this one does not , this leaving more things to confuse you.
5: The mongoose`s are not needed , its a indoor level , a mongoose is specifically something that is made for out door use rather than indoors , would you really try to drive a ATV in your house? , i dont think so , because there is simply not enough room.
6: The placement of each thing as far as i can see is awfull , there are too many ATV spawns , and you have had no thought in the strategic application each weapon could have , for instance , just placing a rocket launcher in the middle of an area is not strategic , placing a needler behind a near by wall that over looks the rocket launcher IS strategic because then there can be some way of stopping the enemy getting the rocket launcher.
7: From what i saw , there is no health packs , do you expect people to enjoy this , if they cannot survive for more than 5 seconds without being raped by someone who is whoring the rocket launcher?
I could go on , but i wont just for the simple fact of it should be obvious to the map maker what the flaws of this map are , i am with Selentic on this one , this map is not even worth my time. Oh and i just saw that this was apparently a "BIG modding project" that apparently took a month , if this simple thing took a month , i wont even bother trying to calculate how long its going to take you to complete any team related projects your envolved with , this sort of thing can take about 5 - 10 mins at max , even for the least experianced mappers. Ok then , lets put it this way , i saw no Health packs in the video , i have not seen you model one thing , and its obvious its a modded level so its just you being lazy instead of actually modeling something , oh wait , you cannot model apparently , one tip , learn how to before even bothering to get into a map team.
I said already that the turrets where bolted down to the floor , what i was getting at is it makes no sense for them to be there when its logically thought about , as for the "Not giving a crap about the back story" attitude i know alot of people in the community that actually like to have some logic involved so that it makes sense , as for the Mongooses , glad they are optional now we know , we can only hope they are taken out.
As for the last part , if you only spent 5 days on this , why did you say you worked for a month on it in the first post?
As for the rest of your post , you can tell where your immaturity comes from just from reading it , your annoyed to the point where your swearing at someone just for pointing out flaws in your creation , if you cannot take a bit of blunt critisism then just either 1.Ignore the person , or 2.Try harder , your always going to get critisism and trust me , i am not the worst for it.
I think you`ll find unless you have changed your first post that most of my facts are correct , as for now , i`ll leave you to make the changes to your creation.

TCEM is NOT a mapping team, it is a modding team. Again, you FAIL to realize it, even though it clearly states" The CE Modders". Want me to re-point it out? "Modders".
So what if the Turrets are there? Perhaps the humans found this base first and then put turrets there? Then Elites kept them for unknown reasons?
I said I spent a month working on it, meaning it took me at least a month to get it to this stage, I guess I should've pointed out that I only worked on it when I wasn't playing Halo 3. Excuse me.
I'm done answering with you Sonic.

Doesn't mean they're lazy, just means that they are newer. We all started somewhere. Whether this should have been released/made public doesn't matter, doesn't matter the skill used, theres no need to argue. The maker(s) will realize their mistakes when there is few downloads because it is not what people are looking for. Then they learn from that and try something new. Its all trial and error.

Anyways, Thats awsome Rooster! How did you get the cross sections on the beams sooooo perfect!?!?!? thats awsome, are you releasing beta or are you just releasing it as it is? This is for TCEM releases and WIPs, and Rooster is a member, so it isn't thread-jacking. ;)
