We're getting errors compiling animations for a dynamic sun. Even though it may not sync perfectly we're trying to get it to sync as best we can by slicing it up itno 20ths of a complete revolution to make it tight.

The error we're getting has to do something with large translations not being in a JMW file. We kept bottlenecking it down to even 20 frames and it still complains. Please help us with our animation problem so we can finish this job right.

Or, you can wait until I release mine as ive told you like 50 times. I know what im doing (unlike you) and you can learn to wait.

Oh well if im doing it slower now that that windows update made 3dsmax not work and I have something against gmax.. I have the animations half exported. And dont complain to me about me being slow, cause ive asked doan to do it for me with step by step guides... hes realy lazy.. I always help him when hes in need, and yet he cant do something for me when hes givin step by step directions..

We WANT to do this because we not only WANT to learn how but also we have our own sky idea behind it besides the custom dynamic animated sun.

I know I may have irritated you in the past and I'm sorry, but this is something we ENJOY doing. GRUNTS and I want to learn how to do what others do and are asking for help figuring out the animation part. We have a method to our madness and just need to get past this part.

Me and Rambo do not want YOUR sun.

Rambo use to before I told him to leave me alone; it was so annoying complaining about how id never get it done.

And when you say we are complaining about you being slow, from what you posted, YOU are the one complaining about how long this will take and how lazy HDoan is.

im not complaining at all about the speed, im explaining it to you because of how much rambo was complaining, and also, why does it matter if I complain about doan? hes realy lazy.

We have not complained about anything.

again, I realy wish I kept chatlogs lol; if I did, you'd feel like a idiot.

OK so maybe I may have done the things you said. I don't remember because I didn't file it away in my mind as something TO remember. All I'm asking is for us to get along on some level. That's what I want. If you don't want that then I can't help you. I'll admit my wrongs as long as they're reasonable and grounded.

As far as I'm concerned this should be a dead issue. Bury what's dead and move on.

We figured out why we were getting large translation errors, but now we're having trouble getting scenery to move, let alone a vehicle. Can anyone help?

We'll make it public. However, do note that it (the model) may require adjustment to the animation size to fit the map in question. Right now it's designed to work with Blood Gulch and also Blood Creek. The dimensions of the scenery's animation may not cohere to other map widths, for instance, a Hugeass mod or a Coldsnap mod.

Also, the way we're doing the animations is in segments so it syncs better with the server. This means there will be a total of 20 models and 20 animation graphs, each that can be created and destroyed on the fly, not to mention the moons involved for the night time. We're NOT doing a sun-moon combo UNLESS someone can tell us how to prohibit light from passing through objects in the BSP.

So there ya have it. Don made an animated box scenery for me and I spent a couple hours setting the light and lens flare up for it. Only problem is there's no "roll-off" effect like the sky has, but it's better than no lens flare. It's whitish like the sun is with a gray core unlike the sun and about the same size as the full lens flare is for the sun. All that remains is the tweaking of the light angles and GRUNTS' work on the model and that's it, hopefully. I hope we don't run into any problems.

EDIT: We're having lighting problems. How do you take care of disappearing lighting faces, as in some of the faces going dark on you rather than actually disappearing? I call these "shadow faces". Sometimes they come in the form of triangles. Other times they come in the form of disappearing polys that go dark.

Anyone know how to fix this and the proper angular settings for lights both in light tag and scenery placement?
