this tut was good i learned something that i wish i knew when i started making maps, hopefully now even the newbies will be able to make good looking maps.
though it is good i wish making really good map was that easy but then a new program introduced to halo that i didn't know about ( i doubt i will use it but its really helpfully)

so its a good tut? i saw it but i have no idea who lionloard is so idk. im already a pretty decent terrain modeler but maybe ill try this out and see how good it is.

But yea I would not recomend using this for a map because it generates random terrain more for rendering art. But it gives you a nice know how on hightmaps and that hightmap generating program.

It is on the site. You don't have to go and say there's no proof when you can get off your ass and look and we would not be talking about it if there was nothing. I liked what Dennis said or I think it went like this. You are comparing apples to chairs.

Obveisly you can't comprehend that "getting off your ass" meant being lazy, or your just being a "smartass". (And I don't mean your ass literally being smart.)

I think Llamamasters tut showed some good tricks to do with 3ds max but sadly his tut was poorly organized. He should have planned it out a lot better.

Still i am waiting to see a advanced gmax tut. I know gmax lacks alot of the 3ds max tools but there are still tools in gmax that no one is showing others how to use.

anyhow someone please show in a tutorial how to use more gmax tools. the reason i totally stoped modeling a while back was because there simply isn't anywhere to go after making basic shapes.

we are talking about gmax not blender. many don't want to use blender as it does not have a halo data exporter. but if it did i am sure many more would use it as it has better tools.

Wake up. In this universe you can't just say anything you want and then say "just joking" to make it all better. That doesn't even work with 3 year olds. You had better learn that now.
I explode when I see people being purposefully mean, trying to be Internet bullies or trying to justify bad behavior with meaningless throw away terms like "just joking". You cannot just say anything you please and then try to justify it with "just joking" it does not work like that. I especially don't like it when I see people who normally don't act that way suddenly try to justify bad behavior.

I understand that people will joke around and that I may not find it particularly humorous and I also know that not everyone will find my sense of humor to their liking either but the difference is that I am well aware of it when I make a post and I deliberately consider what others will think BEFORE I make the post. The rules of this forum make it very clear what will and won’t be tolerated and your “joke” about how fun it is to deliberately insult people fell squarely on the wrong side of cardinal rule number 3.
