Map request:

Canyon style map (kind of like Danger Canyon, but no bends, tunnels, and basically 1/3 the size. Inclines are good (like in danger canyon) Narrow (not too narrow for comfortable Scorpion driving) and long, can't see opposing bases). Toss in some random rocks I can duck behind for cover. A few trees like in danger canyon.

Base: Simple base, something that mirrors icefields but is a variant of it. A neutral, simple base in between the two main bases (perhaps like the neutral one in Danger Canyon, including ramps!).

AI: Spartans, both sides. Perhaps 10-12 each side. They advance on the other base and meet and fight in the middle (they continue to march to enemy base if there is no resistance however, kind of like the marine behavior in the "HangemHighAI" map). Make it so that in team play you can switch teams and fight the other spartans instead of all spartans. Diversify armament (some with AR, some with Pistol, 1 each with shottie, rocket and sniper, maybe flamethrower. ((What I'm thinking with choosing spartans is that I can make a switch to heavy weapons and stand at a distance and watch them blow each other up versus wandering amongst unarmed marines/getting smacked by Covenant.))

Enabling the AI spartans to climb aboard vehicles when I'm driving and to drive ghosts/banshees would be fun.

Random: just a few Covenant (a few elites, twice as many grunts just for killjoy) so I can laugh at them being caught between two attacking forces. These guys just stick around at the neutral base and die easily. :P It would be a twist to have a spec. ops grunt or two with the fuel rod...

Vehicles/weapons: The way bungie made em. Nothing new. Make room for a single Scorpion, Banshee (design base so that banshee sits on top, thus the icefields base variant), 1-2 of each warthog, and maybe 1-2 ghost (at each base).
Purpose of map: Just to play by myself, practicing dodging random sorts of weapons fire.

Lemme know what you think. I think this would be a fun play...

Why dont you do it your self? You should learn its really easyonce you get the hang of it. Just search For some tuorials.AI is pretty easy just need to rip a30 or a flood level, then add them in sapien.

I'd rather go without than take what you'd bring.

Well... we actually are not so ready to make anything... sorry. :)
The tutorials you could take to make such a level are readily available, though.

That sounds more like a demand than a request.

I'm an impatient guy and you seem willing to make anything

acualy, quite the oposite. You would of been getting told otherwise in harsh ways about this if the topic of dennis telling us not to wasnt there. this topic http://forum.halomaps.org/index.cfm%3Fpage=topic&topicID=15269 read the part in that topic for the requesters as well (read the other stuff just to make my point, and the bottem stuff to hopefully convince you to do that witch we are no longer aloud to say (feels like harry potter saying that..))

Actually I am not supporting lazy people I am trying to stop self centered loud mouth arrogant children who don’t know when to keep their mouths shut from cluttering this forum with negative dross and scaring away people who have just joined the community. If you don't want to honor the request then silence is the only acceptable response.

Understood. I'll spend some time wallowing in shame and regret, then come back in a couple years and release some stupendously awe-inducing maps. Then people will flock to me begging me to help with their maps and I'll shake my head and say "remember that time when...?"
Ok, maybe I'm only kidding :P
Right now I'm dling a tool tutorial. This is a lengthy process on dial-up. :-\ *Wishes for wi-fi again* I'll just get the hang of it all then.

I have not experienced much lag when playing with AI. The "AssaultonHang'emHigh" map for instance features about a dozen spartans holding off against maybe 20+ elites and a few grunts, and has little lag unless my computer has been on for a long time and needs restarting anyway.
I'm in the process of trying to see if I can edit someone elses AI map to my liking... so far I'm not even getting close to figuring out tags. =\
I'm still stuck on a tutorial map, which I will start from scratch on sometime soon to see if I messed something up or not... I like to play halo more than create stuff in it, lol, but creating maps holds an appeal.

Any AI maps with more than 6 or so lag super badly for me unless my computer is in a good mood

I wish my computer had feelings...

*sniff*

I get the feeling that mine just doesn't connect with me at much as it used to. It occasionally acts detatched and won't respond to anything I do. (It freezes up.)

:P

Say, now that I've tried many times and can't seem to get past Sapien, would someone make a map for me? ;)

Seriously though. I didn't think I would crash into the same wall again and again despite getting to Sapien and very little further in several different tutorials lol.

Truth is many of us are working on our own project, and don't have enough free time to make you a map.

Hmm... ok then. Worth a shot. ;)

My project involves getting my map textures to show up in Sapien. =\
