Okay, so I'm working on my new map... I finish building the geometry, and i go to do some textures.
I select the faces i want to apply the textures to... I open the material editor... I create my material (yada yada yada), and i click 'assign to selection.'
Instead of just the selected faces... it is applied to the whole...friggin.... LEVEL.
This may have been caused by me giving the +sky attribute to the sky before i was finished building geometry, but...
is there any way to fix it so that i'm only texturing faces that are selected, instead of the whole structure? because it seems to me that the 3DS Max programmers were on Crack when they programmed this...
and I really, really, REALLY don't want to have to re-build the whole map from scratch...
