i CANT SEEM TO GET TO MY HALO FOLDER, FOR MAPS.
CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME, STEP BY STEP HOW TO DO THIS?

PS:I forgot caps lock was on :P

its in C/Program files/microsoft games/halo custom edition/maps

First you can just retype it with no caps instead of stating your caps was on.
And your maps folder by default would be
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\maps
And please play some other maps. Extinction is not all that great. Try some other maps other than those huge screw around maps. For one try No_Remorse, Chiller, and portent. Look around on the site and you will come across a lot of many better maps.

so the little thing pops up when i hit download, i hit save, then type in that folder you gave me the adress to, then save.
did i do it right?

i dont do that, i save all my downloaded maps to a folder on my desktop named newmaps. then i extract them there too and then copy and paste them to my maps folder.

When you download a file, put it in another file with the rest of your downloads, as the others said. then, open the zipped file that you downloaded and put the .map file inside it in the address they gave you.

Okay, so i have the file in my map folders, but it says it is a .zip.how do i turn it into a map file?

You extract it (Double click that) and copy the .map file and place it into your maps folder
