I use a keyboard. When playing HaloPC with a controller it doesn't feel like I can move right. :|

I agree with the movement being strange. It mainly feels like I'm sliding around when I move forward.

I agree, Keyboard and mouse are more accuarate, but they have their ups and downs
Controller 'Pros': I: You Can Turn and follow an enemy without having to stop, and pick up your mouse, and then resume. II: You can turn around faster.
Controller 'Cons': I: Awkward, and harder to aim, not as accurate. II: For someone like me, my hands cant remember whether its X Inverted or not lol. III: Harder to type in game because your hands aren't already on your keyboard.
=============================
Keyboard & Mouse 'Pros': I: Much easier to aim, and if you can remember the controls, it is easier to maneuver. II: Over-all easy access.
Keyboard & Mouse 'Cons': I: Harder to track an enemy for long periods of time, because a mouse pad is only so big. II: Configuring good places to have all of your controls, and reconfiguring them for new profiles.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Although i would still use a controller on a 360 because for one you have a slight advantage with 360 because it traces your opponent.
There is only one pro for controller and that is the little autoaim to help the aiming out.
Follow these steps to eliminate the other pros listed above. I: You can easily change that. Go to control panel then mouse then pointer options then increase the pointer speed. The mouse moves faster and you don't have to lift it. II: Switch your sensitivity in game. Go to settings then mouse setup then increase the sensitivity.
Now there are no 'Pros' to the controller. which makes the keyboard even BETTER. Edited by supersniper on Mar 11, 2008 at 01:47 PM
Keyboard > controller.
The mouse lets you turn faster, even if you set the sensitivity on the controller to high.
For me, keyboard and mouse is best. I use a normal keyboard and mouse, and there are no complaints to make. When I first played Halo PC, I was honestly considering using a controller, because I had played Halo on Xbox before, and the transition would be easier. But, after maybe only a week I had mastered the keyboard and mouse control idea, and had lost no ability with a controller for Halo on the Xbox.
Both are good, but I believe in using the control type meant for each game. Keyboard and mouse for PC, and controller for Xbox.
keyboard and mouse for killing, controller if im trying to evade gunfire because with a keyboard, u are limited to W+A, W, A which makes it easier to aim for someone because u know theyll take one of these options, with a cntroller stick, you have 360 degrees of different choices, mouse however is more efficient in sniper dodging when u do 'dances' to evade bullets.
However controller generally is better for machinima and freecam movements, when doing 'speech' for MC, mouse is definitely better imo
I use both, if I feel like hooking up a controller I use that, other wise I stick to the keyboard (with a keyboard your hands aren't cramped)
This is my mouse. It has auto-aim. FTW  No but seriously this is the mouse I use: It has 2 throttle and a middle mouse button. Helps with aiming to. I use top throttle for moving. and the 2 side buttons are for action, and weapon switch. I find wireless mouse difficult to use, as a couple of times, the batteries went out on me while playing halo :/ Edited by Advancebo on May 5, 2008 at 09:51 PM
convinience Quote: --- Original message by: RozarI use the Merc Stealth:  http://www.ideazon.com/us/products/mercstealth.aspI highly reccomend it, it's very fun and easy to use, much more ergonomic than a normal keyboard, and I actually found myself playing better with it.
