like when i start my halo ce game up
it doenst go to the main menu
like i have 30 maps in my map folder including the standard maps and it wont go to the main menu

instead it freezes up my pc and i cant do anything

i dont have this problem while playing halo pc (same cd), crysis, splinter cell chaos theory and far cry

like i have reinstalled halo ce and deleted everything before reinstalling it from the halo ce directory but still the same problem...

does any1 have an idea what it could be??

If this is a new problem meaning it worked before then what has changed? What did you installed/un-installed? Off hand I would suspect your Anti-virus Internet security firewall product is preventing the game from connecting to the internal server ports. You may need to install an exception for Halo CE (haloce.exe) and not just Halo (halo.exe). If it worked before then it is something you installed or updated. Turn off all other applications like Xfire, MSN and anything not absolutely required to run the operating system.

like i have checked all of that but my little bro like let my pc overheat last night (jsut told me a few min ago) and sinds then my pc is 5 times as slow and when i play an game or play music the sound is cracking so i think someting is broken and is preventing me to play halo ce
because all the otehr games are 5 times slower then normal
