Kiwi would imagine that would bee too small for a frigate hanger. So... Corvette or fighter?

originally (back when the PE was the latest version i had made) that was a fighter only hanger, more for storage than anything. Now it's large enuf for fighter AND corvette class, longsword fits thru that quite easily interestingly enough

Oh. That is not terribly huge.
So how long would this ship (the PE) be in kilometers? Edited by Enzo03 on Feb 24, 2008 at 02:29 PM

flimsy?? bahahahahaa xD yea well alot of space ships would technically look flimsy; but it doesnt matter too much because they dont normally have to endure the problems of atmosphere and such; also:
1) Story wise, the materials used on that thing are MUCH stronger and lighter than most others. Also can repair itself if the raw material is present (no i will not explain how and why; not telling anything more about it)
2) had I not stuck the frigate construction bay onto it, it wouldnt looks so 'flimsy' as u call it lol. but what fun would this ship be without a FCB?
As for the SE it is 3.5 PoAs not including sensor length (i should probably recheck the length, but its at least 3.5; PE is like 1.5 PoAs at least. And to find how many km the ship is?? errgh im a bit lazy to find that out =/

As I told you on xfire, how will the SE fit in a Halo map? my frigate model is about 45 000 units long so I can't put 2 of them in a map( would be Very tight)... let alone 3.5
on a side note, the longsword is horribly too big to be a fighter imo hehe Edited by OpsY on Feb 24, 2008 at 11:44 PM

mwhehehehehehe Opsy, thats for me to know and u to work out xD
Also selentic; i merely mentioned weight to give a more general idea of the ship, but even so if what i believe is correct, weight applies in space when talking about the engine's power (the heavier an object is, the more force required to move it...)

There is almost no gravity or air friction in space. Therefore I am not sure if huge engines would really be needed. The ship would be pretty much weightless (even though the actual MASS of the ship is incredibly huge).

--OFF NOTE--
Production on my side temporarily on hold, the harddrive's boot up files got reeeaaaallly screwed up because SOMEONE bumped the harddrive, or something. Must backup files, reinstall XP and then the hundreds of little pretty toys i stuck on my comp. server's progress however should not be hindered by this, other than my absense
More bad news to come later in the week too btw =/
As for the PE though, its going slow but good

Actually chains, I think he means that you guys should stop the project unless you scale it down. He wont quit Halo, I think....
Personally, I say go for it and if it needs to be scaled down then scale down where need be.

It will not be that bad (except maybe for me when I am on the top and my framerate gets teh zomg)...
I think the best cubemap for the outside of the ship would be something like a smoothed version of reflection_diffuse_metal cubemap... or... enh..
I just hope its not shiny like a high gloss paint-job I would be able to see my face in.

well, technically thats how it should be, but i will probably use the same cubemap that i used on MC at the IG-WYS_Beta map. its a dull one and probably wont match the ship's colour. But its worked for ALOT of different colours. So who knows? well find out soon enough

What I meant is that the CoQ is rather ''Thicker'' and there's now way I can fill the whole interior without getting in a too much pointless space.
