i downloaded these http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=2018 then fixed them and added frame, then i saved as JMS, then i went to tool and when attempt to compile to wont work its just starts then finished succesfully but did not pickup JMS file nor did I see a gbxmodel file in tags, one thing I dont understand is, if the model compile wont read it, how did collision compile read the collision JMS? any reason why it doesnt show the results when compile JMS into gbxmodel?

### mg34.jms

detail worst-case worst-case

level vertices triangles

--------- ---------- ----------

superlow 214 146

low 214 146

medium 214 146

high 214 146

superhigh 214 146

Couldn't read map file './toolbeta.map'

If you saw somthing like that you should have your .gbxmodel tag. I'm going to assume you are compiling a model (not a bsp) and that you didn't see that message and try to help you.

First you need to have your exported .jms model in, for example, (I'm just guessing because I can't remember the default path for HALO CE and I can't check it because I'm at college)

C:\\Program Files\Microsoft Games\HALO Custom Edition\data\scenery\houses\houseA\models

Then you need to type somthing like this into the command prompt:
tool model scenery\houses\houseA
(it could be tool models scenery\houses\houseA)

Notice that I did not type
tool model scenery\houses\houseA\models
this is because tool automacticly looks for a folder called models that is inside the folder you told it to look in. Also you must not have any spaces in the names of the folders in the data folder.

This should give proof of what I am talkin about

it wont export my .JMS file! I also went to the tags directory and didnt see my folders or file!

IT WONT EXPORT ANY of MY SCENERY JMS FILES!!!

I even made one of my own t still wont export

do i have to add markers and nodes or something?
cuz the ONLY marker i added in scenery file (according to a tutorial) was Frame.

I'm guessing that you aren't aloud to have spaces in the .jms's name either, but that picture shows you have a space in the name "building 1" so that's bound to be your problem. Change "building 1" to "building1" or "building_1" and it should work.

1st tool ++ fails, use the comand prompt.
2nd i dunno if it matters for scenery but bitmaps with numbers in name wont compile so i would maybe change to letters

I never knew that Halo CE made people regress to early childhood.... learn something new every day. Please refrain from the tantrums.
