Huh? where are you trying to download from? Not here I assume. We don't require a password As of 8:15 EST there are over 90 people downloading files.

It works now Dennis but there was a downtime. It asked me for a FTP password in a pop up window sort of like when you connect to cPanel...but it works now. It lasted around 10-15 minutes.

Not sure what was happening, but there is no Cpanel or any remote admin application running on either of the servers and the FTP only has a read-only anonymous account.

Firefox called it Connection established when downloading but it stuck there. Most likely Overcharge or a minor down time... I entered no password and it said FTP account acces denied when I clicked Ok.

You may have been hammering the FTP server and you IP was banned. The ban lasts about 10-15 minutes.

how could u hammer the FTP server by what spamming with too much files
Download accelerators and managers often open multiple simultaneous connections to download a single file (Hammering). Our FTP servers only allow one connection per client. The multiple connections (Hammering) causes a constant re-negotiation of the connection that can lead to the eventual dropping and temporary banning of the IP of the misbehaved client.

Of course I don't use download accelerators after the story came out of Mythica's server beeing overloaded. Usually when I want to download stuff, here's what I do; I open the pages in new tabs( Firefox) and it may sometimes be multiple stuff. Then, maybe 10 minutes later I go to page 1 and click download. Usually it dells me i'm already dowloading( which is not true) so I have to refresh each page once to be able to press the download button to prevent the ''multiple downloads'' error. Anyway, Whatever the cause was I guess it was simply a small serverside glitch and this topic may aswell be locked.
