Is there any hack/etc that will change the loading screen cause I'm bored to heck of staring at the same "HALO" and the ring in the background for 5 minutes.

I belive if you edit the map file bitmaps and then compile the map it will be that bitmap. Like Snow Grove.

how do u edit the bitmaps so it would have its own loading screen? and huh????? the globals....what? what do u mean the globals i know what it is but what does that have 2 do with this?

The exe Reads from bitmaps.map, so I think thats were the startup loading screen comes from, the ingame loading screens are changable.

Then you go to load a different map its not there? Its the bitmap.map, if you change the bitmap in it, tool will compile it with that Halo load screen. Thats what I've been told.

Heres how I did it:
I navigated to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\tags\ui\shell\bitmaps" Then I took the custom loading screen I wanted (which was already in the bitmaps folder) and renamed it background.bitmap
Then, I took the original background.bitmap and either removed it or renamed it to loading.bitmap
Since tool is told to make the loading bitmap from background.bitmap, changing the custom bitmap to background will make tool think its the original bitmap but its not. Edited by MechWarrior001 on Feb 11, 2008 at 07:54 PM
