well no dip, ive been here since april 2006. i got a bunch of cool scenery. but i have a problem... i ripped sentinal shielded from d40.map and it didnt work. Edited by HogdriverOneFiveFive on Feb 3, 2008 at 02:38 AM

differences: 1) ya don't gotta worry about syncing! Yay! So you can get plenty crafty with device machines and whatever else people have trouble with in mp 2) sp is fun even though no one else is playing, which likely means more collective play time than the average mp map 3) bsp switching, sub-texty stuff, cutscenes, and probably ai driving warthogs :D

so you ripped a sentinel, and it didn't work. There may be psychics among the CE community, but I wouldn't count on it

hog.. all you do is rip, you couldnt understand a SP map even if you tried.. havnt you wondered why there isnt many SP maps? its because you have to understand alot about HEK, and all you understand is how to open up HEK+
Hog, if you ever do get around to having anything remotely posible to making a SP level (even if you just kill one AI and it ends) at that time, I will explain SP maps to you, but I dont see you working that hard within the next 10 years, so have fun.

im gonna put a bucketload of flood in too... god.. i wish those sentinals would work... matoobas hogfoot doesnt work either... well its gonna be a multiplayer level that behaves like a SP one with less work. happy?

Matooba's Hogfoot does work perfectly The only way you can see all the vehicles is if your in CTF The only vehicle that didn't work was the Bronco and that was because he didn't have any collision geometry on it The first thing I suggest you do is make a layout of how your map is going to be set up Then work from there

Remove the sentinel from the palette in guerilla, and add it back in in sapien. Sapien should then log in debug what tags are missing or corrupt

make sure to dl that map, its real fun... really fun.. even though their is this one weapon that eliminates everything really fast. but i doubt youll find it. Their is also a sword, that damages everything within a certain radius including yourself.

SIngle Player map making is very much an untapped region of the hek, in order to make a GOOD sp map you must know a helll of alot about scripting, sound editing, the whole shebang, unless you run a map team and have lots of people who know how to do it already.
And please NEVER NEVER EVER try to make your own version of a halo campaign level, like "what if the chief didnt crash on halo, so now im going to make a crappy space battle that only i will enjoy." Make your own campaign level, your own story line, and if your good enough, model your own character and fp arms and make your own ****ing game.
