I have made a waterfall for a map and for the material I added the exclamatory mark "!" after the name of the bitmap, which you all know that this symbol tells tool not to associate any collision to the waterfall. When I compile with tool it tells me that the edges of the waterfall are open, any solutions?

is the waterfall part of the same object as the BSP or is it a separate object? I'm not sure if that would do anything but its worth a guess.

Yep its part of the BSP and linked to the frame, and its also a plane. Material IDs are set to 1 which is the material of the bitmap with the "!". EDIT: This is what I'm talking about... Edited by xXDRAGONXx on Jan 23, 2008 at 05:25 PM

That's what I did but still tool says open edges on waterfall. I guess nobody has had this problem and also I think tool is not working anymore. Might need to reinstall-it...

To fix this, make the water a seperate plane... Make sure that there's a solid complete wall behind the falls, otherwise this is what happens... Can't believe I'm the only one who thought this might be the problem. >>;

i did think of that. i asked him whether it was the same object or a separate plane. he said it was both, which doesn't make sense.

The waterfall should be a separate plane, not attached to the bsp but linked to the frame.

>.<' Sorry for the misunderstanding guys, I meant that the plane isn't part of the BSP but it's linked to the frame, either way that wasn't the problem, heres what the problem was... If image doesn't show up just right click and view image. I thought I read somewhere in the Halo Editing reference that the material name doesn't matter, and I thought it only was the Sub-Material's name that really mattered , I was wrong... anyways thanks for the help.
