Okay... So, first off: Don't hate me, but I'm modding a map. No, it's not Blood Gulch. I couldn't remember how to do so many things in Halo due to being on hiatus for over a year. Thus, I was modding Gephyrophobia, and, while I remembered you have to edit the globals to get the vehicles in, I forget how to fix this second error I ran across. I got the vehicles in my map, and I've used the wasp and bulldog before, but here's the problem. I don't remember how... So, explaining the problem: I walk up to the vehicles, but it won't let me in. No option to "Press E to enter -insert vehicle here-"... Just like a scenery. How do I fix the strings so that I can use the vehicles? x_x; Thanks.

Wouldn't using the biped that came with the vehicle be another solution? Not to invalidate using "w-driver", it's just a thought that occured to me.

I didn't get a biped with the vehicles. At least, I don't remember them anyway, so I don't know how to switch it.

But thanks, now that I remember to go into the strings, I can just copy the ghost's to the Bulldog (albeit it's a bit off), and Banshee for the Wasp (I think it looks good that way)... Haha. Thanks!

"go into strings"...
not sure what that means. Maybe you don't need this tip, but hey, I'm feeling compulsively helpfull
Open "ui\hud\hud_icon_messages.unicode_string_list" with the String List Editor, and you can customize the Press Q to Enter prompt for the vehicle. The seat's hud index is in seats, in the vehicle's tag. Make sure the modded string list is a different size

Exactly what you just said, bobby. xD I boldened all the "string". I couldn't remember what I had to edit, and it was the missing strings. <<; I just wish I could make custom animations, but I can't even model. xD; Oh well.

Modeling isn't really that hard

Even though I can only make levels myself once you learn the basics its easy to get better

Oh and if you can't model mabye you should get into tagging things

Like in 3ds max having a weapon model and getting it in-game

That's pretty much what I do now anyway. I started by just modeling stuff, and just started working my way up, learning more and more. I'm a failure at modeling things, but I'm decent at tagging. <<; I've just been on hiatus for several months, so I forgot a lot of things.

Something I've pretty much already fixed.

However I will add a question that's relevant

What strings are best to use for each vehicle? For example, I've copied over various strings to use for the Bulldog, and no matter what, he ends up inside of the vehicle... And the wasp, I've seen use both banshee strings and ghost strings, which do you guys think looks better?

Not the banshee animation. Feet sticking out the back == goofy

get the importer scripts for gbxmodel and model_animations
import the gbxmodels of the wasp or bulldog, and cyborg (for both, import geometry, markers, and nodes)
Import the cyborg.model_animations, and see which vehicle animation best fits the vehicle

I put Banshee, 'cuz it actually looks suited for the vehicle. Mongoose, I just gave it the ghost driver.

I can't figure out the Bulldog at all, all of them are too low. I just need custom animations.
