So...for me as about 13 hours ago the year 2008 started. I slept through most of it lol but im sure all of you had a good time doing whatever it was you were doing.

But, in spite of the new year, i feel it is an appropritate time to announce a mapping contest in honor of the season. Since '08 is the year Dead Space is supposed to come out, then the theme will be space/survival horror.

Rules:

• MUST have a space sky. Anything with stars, planets or just an empty black void will do


• Keep ripped tags to a minimum. Try to be innovative in your design.


• Can be single player or multiplayer, as long it loads.

The prize: MAJOR bragging rights, your sig/name in a golden picture frame in a secret room in an upcoming secret map project, and the fact you made the best map of 2008. (for the time being)

The deadline is until the end of january, so take your time.

Finished submissions can be uploaded to a website or sent through xfire, so if you cant do either, id suggest you find a way.
