I like the battle rifle, only good scope weapon next to the carbine....

eww... I disagree. For one, the warthog's cubemap (see my first post on the first page :D) would look more like h3's armor than the gun cubemap. In fact, that same cubemap was used on the biped for that leak, Asgard, which looked fugly.

for another, I have made me a cubemap that does the effect quite nicely (I have not worked on the bitmaps for h3 armor myself, but I can if I feel like doing so... like I have on my h2 armor. another topic coming up about problems with that h2 armor when used as AI because I have found a revelation...)

People have tried, only way to do that is to somehow have cheat_bump_possession as you spawn onto an elite to take it's body.

whats with you noobs hating on the br? the assault rifle in h3 is highly overpowered <for a starting weapon mind you> and it renders the br useless <I got killed by a dude with an assault rifle running straight at me when I had the br shooting his head, and I shot him twice in advance>

Therefore, the br is useless unless you made its damage like halo 2 :( sadface.



ANYWAY. I'd suggest putting the br because you may something with zoom on it... the rest is up to you

i think the balance is fine in halo3. the BR is fine jsut the way it is. its a matter of skill. if the BR vs. AR matchup you described happens its a matter of skill. i had the same thing happen to me today. i won that little coo. i was just better than the other guy. the AR is a great starting weapon imo. better than SMG at least.

I decided to go down the original halo path and choose the pistol.
Anyways I modified the shaders, edited the base map, redid the multipurpose and made the cc from scratch.

Also, I spy with my little eye (...don't care...) a yellow electricy ball, a teal tip on a gun, and the legs of a turret.

The Yellow ball is a custom power-up. It is gametype specific.

Fix the indents on the glove and boots. They aren't supposed to be pitch black.

I think you finally got a good looking biped. however, the assault rifle anims remain sucky.

He should use the warthog's diffuse cubemap and add a detail map. Then it will look MUCH better.

This was all because I showed him a picture of backpack weapons and he complained about how the fp arms are crappy yet in the picture all you can see is a TINY TINY part of the hand which is just leather and you can barley see it
Also FGrain if your reading this, you epicly fail and I dont need your laser animations. If you were on a team I would kick you out right away since it takes 3 weeks to request something from you yet in those 3 weeks nothing has been accomplished, and I don't really want them anyway since when I saw your "Cutscene" that was the most hideous thing I have ever layed my hands on, when the spartan gets up he like puts his arms out and hes magically up, every animation is so ****ing robotic and when he is falling off space I dont think he would stay ****ing still like a robot.

soo what exactly are you going to do with all the halo2 models then? Would have been awesome to see drones and brutes in a custom campaign. I had drones until my other hd died...
