Due to a virus on my secondary PC my alien map and a lot of other stuff was lost so i will instead be making a map called Road Warrior. It will take place on a straight road in the australian outback. each team will have to race to the end of the road get a flag and come back, the first to bring the flag back wins. No rules apply so if your on your way to the flag and your opponent is beside you feel free to blow him off the road with a rocket! But do it before he blows you off the road. All cars will be post apocalyptic each team will have one of these, a friend made the model for me:

I am still working on the bsp with the same guy who helped me with the car above. I hope you guys like the idea please give me some feedback and suggestions! Oh yeah the song Ladies and Gentlemen by Saliva will be playing in the map.

I was mad that max didn't have that car in thunderdome. Might be interesting if you are able to pull it off.

"IF" i'm able....... I garuntee i pull it off. Oh and if he had that car in thunderdome.... that would have kicked *ss! It looked new in mad max, was falling apart in road warrior, it would have been a kick ass piece of hot rod in thunderdome.

those three movies are odd. the second one and third one are good but after seeing the first one your like WTF. the first one kind of ruins it all. So i only ever watch the second and third one.

Me just bought an antivirus program. And i only watch the second and third as well. Oh and i Think i will lift the rear of the interceptor about three inches, not suspension lift, just a badass shackle job like this!

too many people burn to death in those movies. I would wait to update us untill you get the model finished and textured.

Ok the renders are on my flash drive(i save em so i don't have to re map them all the time) i will post them tomorrow.

yeah selentic... if i recall (and i may be totally wrong so sorry if i am) guilty spark isnt the best modeler. or he didnt know alot about tagging things.... and are you in gmax?

What the hell!!!!!!!! A friend of mine said he made it!!! are you saying he googled it, man what a lier, damn a close friend is lying to me. I honestly thought he made it? And why would i say i made it if in previous posts of mine i ask for models because i have a disease that makes me shake a lot. Yep, he did get it from google, damn. You think you know someone. Well i guess this map is down the drain or else its warthogs on a highway.

well it depends. even if he didn't make it who cares just don't give him credit for it. Get him to texture it and animate it, still worth trying to get in a map. im just really unsure of its poly count as it's on a website for advanced 3d models.

Yeah thats what i'm thinkin, i'll get the basics into the map and give it a try and see what happens. I'm moving so this will be in development for a good month.

I don't think theres a download link... the pictures here are the same ones posted at the site where it was originally posted. Guilty Spark, I think you should get someone to make the vehicle models for you instead of downloading someone else's model. But if you use downloaded models at least give credit to the original creator.

I didn't download them a friend downloaded them and told me he made them.

I didn't mean you downloaded it..I was just saying not to download it, or at least give credit if you do.

if somebody uploaded a model then its ok to use it. its not like he stole it or anything. just remember to give the person credit. i think ill take a crack at trying to model that tomorrow. all the info i need is up there already.

I'm yet to learn how to do it, but 3ds can "Render to Texture" a hi-poly object to a low-poly object's texture. You'd texture the hi-poly and make it all purty, then make a low poly copy, and use Render to Texture to create a new texture for the low poly
