lets see... considering that the pilots in the original halo 1 pelicans were actually bitmap images...

...and that the stuff she says during the campaign are probably just sound files scripted in...

...and that the pilots for all pelicans in the campaign are probably ai noncombatants with no model or anything...

...I have no idea. You figure it out.

?

There are no pilots for dropships in halo1, so theres no actor variant. Dropship movement was done with recorded animations. What do you need an actor variant for anyway?

speaking of which couldn't you make a actor_variant and set it so the drop down menu says "vehicle" and not "biped" so oyu can use a vehicle as the AI body and not a biped?

if you (anyone) use(s) the pilot biped, be sure to give it the mc's animations... or better yet, make some from scratch!

edit: hehe... if you dont apply rigging... maybe it needs collision too or something... then what you get is the pilot standing straight with her arms extended straight sideways... and she (usually) falls through the level... :P

For my Arbiter biped he used Elite animations which work fine, if you were to make a biped I would rig it with the closest biped in Halo to it's features and such, for example I would use Marine or Master chief animation for my Link, but in some situations where the bone is scaled, the biped will need new animations. For example my Sonic biped is perfectly rigged but it needs new animations or he will stretch all over the place. Also I havn't made any collision model for my Arbiter biped yet and he has never fallen out of the bsp or went through a vehicle.

he ripped an elite model and texture... the only skill here was the fact that he rigged it, which is commendable. not many know how to rig. still, its ripped.

ok HDoan, you didnt need to make such an unnecessary stress out of a SIDE COMMENT I made that I was not even sure of, and did not even say it was definite, but a "maybe."

but at least its one less thing I have to wonder about and end up screwing my computer up three times over and inside out trying to figure out what it is... Thanks :P

hey, I was wondering if there was any actor varients of the pilot of echo418.

right then getting back on topic yeah there was no "real" echo 419 because there was no one actualy in the pelican. (trust me ive jumped on enough pelicans to know) but in halo3 you do have the pilots of hornets and pelicans. or you could try to use the girl model from the scene when you escape the poa in a lifepod and try to edit her and basicaly "create" your own Echo 419.
butthen im no map maker or biped creator so the above is kinda a suggestion
