there will either not be a respawn time or a respawn time of a crazy long lenght.

this looks pretty cool. I'd play it. however, RM, those first person fists look pretty bad. the fingers are all gummed up and stuff. if you want, I can help you out with that? making first person fists is something I've been doing for practice for a while now.

i didn't make them i used the unarmed biped tags by killa. since they are the only ones i know right now i used them. personally i recomend using 3rd person on the map anyways and i don't think the first persons fists look too bad.

but if you want to make better ones, PM me. as long as it won't take forever to make im open to it. i would be happy to at least discuss in more detail.

im not sure if ill protect it or not. but i agree mods of a checkers map would just get untasteful after one mod of it. it depends.

and i gave iron the go ahead to make some better fists, should not take too long.

simple flashlight teleport script to the tops of the pillers (tele to unoccupied pillar). No need for teleport scenery. Could teleport after player exits vehicle

I don't think so.

that would be difficult. how would it remember if people are on the towers? and what if it thought they were there but they'd jumped down? it's fine as is, especially if more than 2 people are there (some might be spectating wating for a turn)

that would just complicate things and further push back release.

anyhow right now its in the works to when you start a slayer game instead of saying slayer it will say "halo checkers". still in the works but i think it will work out.

did i have other ideas for maps, yes but i don't think ill get involved in another. Just depends if people want to work on my ideas. Maniac will most likely want to work on something else with someone else. lol he might be board of me

though if he or anyone else wanted to work off an idea of mine i would be more then happy to serve as project lead.

though i think it would be more interesting to make a dice game. yes it could be done.
I know alot about what can and can't be done but i can't model or texture.

AHS_SONIC has made the start up sound for me. woot it sounds really good. almost exactaly sounds like the original guy who did all the halo start up sounds.

The script would check, not remember. If they jump down by the time the script checks that trigger volume, oh well.
It is fine as is, I just thought a quick and easy teleport would be a nice touch for a player who has made his move, all the sooner to begin planning the next

its just that teleporters really wont look right (i think) and its a quick walk to the new pillars to get a good view.

At this point this project has been so long in development textures and BSP are now set. But they look good and how i wanted it so it's all good.

completed the final version of map. im just waiting on maniac to give it a final check. and if he agrees i will upload to halomaps tonight. so that would mean within a week you all could download Checkers.map.

Ok guys i uploaded Checkers.map for all interested.

but my compy froze as soon as it says complete and had to ctrl +alt + deleate the page so i could not click close window. So im not sure if the file took cause cause i could not close window correctly.

hopefully it went in. But ill give it a few days to see or not. So soon we can all play some awesome heated matches of checkers.
