I open sapien, stick in my new custom weapon just to test it (not as a .item collection) and i get:
11.27.07 18:18:28 ### ERROR incompatible bitmap type in shader
(many, many times)

do they have alpha and r they compressed as explicitalpha and did u run them in tool again after changing those ?

colour key transparency always works for me...but ill try it with explicit alpha... hey...thats strange. I changed format to explicit alpha, and tool still compiles them as colour key transperancy's...well. its still throwing up the error...they dont have alpha btw I'e made custom weapons before and colour key transperancy always works Edited by Hickle Stine on Nov 27, 2007 at 02:51 AM

ok. are you using any reflection maps, are u using bump maps for base maps, or anything like that. oh is it the beam rifle? becuase the beam rifle will do that becuase of ignorant tagging.

i fixed it. i was using a shader_transparent_chigago for something that only needed shader_model. oops. lol.
