After discussing my weed field map idea i decided to do a map from the movie Signs. a house with corn field on all four sides of it and it's night and it will be single player. i'm gonna start working on an alien biped model, suggestions, critisism, and questions welcome!

sounds good but i see a flaw. if the house is in the middle surrounded by cornfields how is that gonna effect team gameplay. there wont be 2 even bases. it will be unbalanced. you could say, have the two bases in the cornfield (crop circles) but then the house in the middle would be wasted space. also we discussed the sky thing earlier, i was thinking we could put like a mothership in the sky.

Or it would just be a key place to control. Think about the possibilities. CTF primarily.

and as for the house and stuff i will do exactley as corndogman said two crop circle bases and a house in the middle.

good point nugga. that would probably work. thats what beta testing is for though. see how that plays out. i kinda missed the part where you said it was gonna be a single player though. it might be kinda short though. you could have it where you start in the field. go to the house and find some aliens. then you have to go to some point in the field... crop circle maybe. then back to the house or something... then into the mother ship and destroy it. something like that.

it could be multiplayer, is there a way for red to spawn as human and blue to spawn as alien? and sorry bout that i should have been specific but i'm probably gonna make it multiplayer:)

will smith will want to play the map if you put those ships in it. =) that was a good movie, independence day is where those ships are from. "oh no your not shooting that green Sh#t at me"

hahahahahaha i love that part in fact i gonna watch it now *concentrating*........... ok! thanks for the positive feedback guys. i should do an independence day campaign series after this project..... but anyway i still need much ideas and suggestions. PS if will smith played my map i would royaly shi#t my pants(assuming he likes it:) :O perhaps i could put that line and some other lines from the movie in with it that would kick ass. it's funny how this went from signs map to an all out independebce day map:) but i will definately put quotes from the movie in with it. hopefully tomorrow when more people are on they will see this and i will get more feedback!!:) thanks for the support guys i still need A LOT more brainstorming to do before i actually get started. more ideas would be nice:) I am going to put those alien fighters in it for sure.

awesome movie. I Am Legend looks awesome too. when i first saw the preview i thought it was independence day 2. but anyways. this should be a cool map. SP or MP.

If you make it Independence day make the fighters controls inverted like it was in the movie.

after this map i might do an single player avp map in which you can choose your side. and maybe a built in 3rd person hack(if that can be done) and the blood will match the color of the alien and predator blood in the movies.

that was the point, Dwood, i wanted to get back on topic. oh and selentic.....i have no idea, i have been drinking esspresso for like three hours straight. in fact i think i ruined my tastebuds on the first batch... made it too strong, it was so shockingly strong that i think i may never fully recover from it mentally
