A beta (and the only beta) of the new, less failure H3T has been released!

More Info:
Bungie's rework of Blood Gulch brought to you with H3T content!

Reccomendation:

8-10 players on 1 Flag CTF

Supports all gametypes EXCEPT race.

Known bugs:
Mauler sounds doesn't sync
Less Halo 2 sniper moar Halo 3 sniper
Plasma pistol charging goes off hand sometimes
There might be an exception randomly I believe I removed it
Sniper rounds bounce more then once (Sucks to be in bubble)
Missile pod needs a skin
Ma5K needs a skin
Spiker needs a skin now
Make trip mine explode
Clinets may see 2 bubbles when deployed
Trip mine drops 2 instead of 1
Someone needs to fix gravity lift script *coughKillacough*
Plasma pistol charging sometimes goes out of the visor outline
Outline isn't transparent enough
Spartan laser charging laser removed due to switch of model so will add next test
Visor tooken out due to distration, will be added in when fixed
When overshielded, doesnt show pink or any diff color in shield bar
Weapons may asking you to reload even though your full
HUD needs a overhaul
Shotgun has only firing sounds
Shotgun needs new skin, model and animations
Some weapons dont have sounds like Plasma rifle
Pickup icons are lies!

-fix smoothing on spiker
-remove all restrictions on dev commands.
-mauler looks wide on the top
-gravity hammer animation is weak
-trip mines can be sent to the other side of the map
-battle rifle scope cubemap is bleh
-sounds are either too loud or too soft
-brute shot is ugly
-assault rifle seems way too accurate, but I haven't played online yet
-bubble shield totally kills fps
-shotgun animations are bleh
-pistol ROF needs to be slowed just a bit

Dude yes it looks similar but it isn't the same. If you look closely the H3T plasma rifle is more bocky and square behind ghe blue tip (the black area). It isn't the exact same model. So don't accuse them of taking it and not giving any credit.

how did you know that....?

but yes, i just played a few games with echo, gruntman, ODX, Hguru, and a few other people i dont know. it was pretty fun except im a bad host and didnt really know what i was doing. and i have a crappy gfx card so i couldnt see the bubble shield.

Added him, I beat him in a King of the Hill just a minute ago, along with a random New001. That was on the dedi server. Fun fun fun, oh and, I used thirdperson/FOV, and I noticed:
1) Third person AR reload is the Halo 1 AR reload
2) Missle Pod third person looks weird and changes sometimes
3) Hammer is being held straight up and his other hand isn't really touching it
4) Mauler left hand is just sitting there doing nothing but looking stupid

1) Sniper move up after every shot.
2) Trip mine just doesn't work. Also if you throw it to the cliffs it will actually go to the cliffs. "Good-bye so soon we'll never meet again."--some random song that came to my head.

Can't believe no one said this.
The bubble shield MURDERS FPS!
Oh and, the maulers not too weak, two shots is the power of a shotgun....It's weak because you're suppose to duel wield them, actually, I think it's perfect.

I cant even start up CE, it says I'm missing files then when I delete the H3T map I can play.
Oh and I tried to get it to work and I clicked on a sever with h3t-coagulation and it said the players were 'corndogman' it was a 8 man server.

Could someone tell me what to do? Do I just download it from filefront and put it in my maps folder?

The forgetfulness of the credits was due to FGrain. I wrote down a readme.txt days ago before the release and FGrain was having a hissy fit so he made his own readme.txt and told me to use it, he forgot many things like TAZZ's plasma rifle skin (Shadow you had nothing to do with it, I downloaded the .dds and opened it in photoshop and then saved it as a .tif), kenneys Ma5K.

Oh, thanks Arbiter....
I hope no one's said this, I did, but I looked into it more.
Alldev+cheat_all_weapons will spawn:
1) Textured brute spiker from Ascension
2) Mauler that has the old sounds (firing, and reload)
And other weapons on the map, one even being the PP with no FP model, and a Halo 1 AR.

heres my review:

assault rifle:
hud always telling me to reload
needs its own hud
melee sound has a taping noise at the end that doesnt sync
shells come out of barrel
readying animation and sound dont sync
the idle animation isnt noticable
cant the ar in halo 3 hold 320 rounds in reserve? urs only holds somewhere around 240
the hand jolts at the end of the posing animation and theres no sound for this animations either

battle rifle:
hud always tells me to reload
needs its own hud and pickup icon
not ur model or skin
not the halo 3 model
needs its own strings (doesnt say "picked up a battle rifle")
reload animation is wierd
fires too slow
there are no shells when u fire
sound for reload is.... omfg barf
the posing animation at the end looks like it just glides back into position
were u trying to do that reflection thing with the br scope? if so, try again
the overlays look stressed. if u were running with a gun u wouldnt be moving it aroun like that
melee animations doesnt look like the gun is gonna hit anything. if anything, ur gonna nail urself with the scope of the gun, make the butt of the weapon go out farther with the melee


brute shot:
well first off, u use those samn damn animations that cmt made a long time ago
hud always tells me to reload
needs its own hud and pickup icon
the detail map u slapped on it doesnt make it look any better

bubble shield:
well this didnt lag up my pc, but thats just me
u were creative with the way u did this, showing the icon in the middle of the screen, but it just doesnt work.
the shader is just the spartan shield
whatis wrong with the hud? just get rid of it
needs a sound looping for it

covie carbine:
needs its own strings
needs its own hud
pickup ammo sound is the needlers
the grenade throwing animation just sucks. the gun glides back up into position at the end
where are the overlay animations?
the moving animation is wierd. he shakes the gun back and forth
theres a light that is always on with this thing
it always tells me to reload
when u ready it, it shows the red no ammo thing on the magazine/battery thing
the projectile contrail lasts too long and is bland. looks like the needle rifle one painted green

spiker:
firing sound is mono. i only hear it coming out of my left headphone
no skin
wheres the smoothing?
"spike" is the needle model, which is fine. just thought id point that out
needs its own hud
icon for hud is all fuzzy and ugly
needs its own pickup icon
the finger isnt even in the trigger (watch the reload)
melee animation has no sound and at the end it jolts up a bit
posing animation needs to be smoother
model itself doesnt really look all h3ish. the front square things need to be flatter
readying animation freezes at the end
needs strings (doesnt tell u you have picke dit up or have picked up ammo)
ammo pickup sound is needler
pink needle particle thing when u fire
fires to fast i think


plasma rifle:
the lights look good (bit too blockey though)
back needs to have more roundness to it. its flat
overheat animation.... wtf it almost looked like the left hand was gonna flick me off (and no sound?)
all of the overlay animations for looking make the gun tilt to the right
every other shot is the halo 1 sound and the other is the halo 2 and 3 sound
no melee sound
hud meter has the tracing effect. BAD unless u figure out how to put it to good use

mauler:
u copied my ready animation. thats fine (i dont know if thats h3 or not. i do not have nor have i ever played h3)
reticle=wtf
spikes do not have shotgun shells that fly out the barrel
cheat all weapons reveals a mauler with a different firing noise, which the one u pick up has the halo 3 one that is way to silent (AND MONO)
reload animation and sound dont sync (and that looks like cads reload animation. i say that because all the others were so terrible)
model needs a skin (or somethin becuase whatevery you did, it looks god awful)
model is omfg ugly. did you just slap planes together? look at the back! i see holes
wheres the smoothing?
firing animation, the drum is supposed to spin
hud says i picked up a shotgun. i suppose thats half true but it should say picked up a mauler

sniper rifle:
uhmmm the sniper model is way to small. fix the scale in the weapon tag
sniperifle != flame thrower. fix the strings
sniper bullet != oddball. again, fiz strings
the ophandle.... it isnt even in the bolt thing. reload when u pull it its too far back
firing animation, ophandle woulnt move back into place so slowly. have u ever fired a gun? u can barly see it move
model is fugly and that detail map (same one on the brute shot?) doesnt make it any better
i enjoyed commiting suicide with the bullets ultra reflective properties

pistol:
shells come out the front
cmts animations, no critique
model's ground point is wrong. look at it ingame
halo 1 model

ma5k:
kenny's model
needs a skin
theres a bolt type thing that needs smoothing on it
ready animation, the first frame shows the gun sitting in its position then jumps to the actual animation
needs its own strings and hud
hud always tells me to reload
firing sound is too loud and theres an ugly tapping noise in there
melee, no sound, doesnt look like it would hit ur target
same reload sowund as ma5c
needs its own hud
shells fly back at you from the barrel

plasma pistol:
model looks riped from h2
look at the melee animation. u tell me whats wrong (the gun rotates to the left and floats btw)
meter on the back doesnt track heat. only charging. this is unacceptable and bothed me even in halo 1
i love the charging effect. how do u make the particles do that?
obverheated animation, the top flap downt open to relese heat
theres a lack of smoothing. charge and look at the top
same meter tracing effect as the plasma rifle

shotgun:
FINNALLY a gun that has that shotgun icon in the corner AND IS ACTUALLY A SHOTGUN
every single animtion has a flaw
firing, sloppy. make it smoother (shells come out the front)
melee, doesnt look like the hit will connect, hamd jolts back up at the end
ready, wtf did u do? it flipps around then appears in position.
reload, the arm flys somewhere then comes back the load in the shells without actually touching them
halo 1 model and skin
needs 6 shotgun shell hud

smg:
smgs use caseless ammunition. get rid of the shells altogether
halo 2 firing sound != halo 3
relod animation is sad. just make it smmother and actually make the clip go in, not just slide in
the back sights, i can tell that they are just attached there. i see the hole in the model
end of melee animation the gun jolts to the upper left and back
overlays, wtf the gun just tilts
end of posing aimation, the gun jolts
idle aniamtion is too fast

(from this point on, im just going from emeory, becuase my mom yelled at me to turn my game off since the inetrnet wasnt working (wtf?). thats why it took so long for me to ge this up here, not to mention it took about an hour and a half to get all of this information)
spartan lazer:
charging sound plays 3 times
lazer beam is sentinal beam
no lazer explosion
hud makes me sad

fuel rod cannon (or flak cannon as u have there):
ripped, nothing else, sounds dead
needs own hud
fail

cheat all weapons reveals this turret thing. throw it away. it has nothing to do in halo, and just sucks

problems with the map itself:
flag bases are awful
what is wrong with the br/carbine spawn? br once, then carbine the rest
cheat all weapons, half of ur guns arnt in there, and the ones that are dont even appear in the map
ur hud needs help (masters did u make that? stay away from hud please /barf)
i was dissipointed to see that u took the "HDoan is a damn fool" overlay out of the hud, but i still have pics so im ok

u should have waited a long time before doing this, i also remeber u saying that u cancelled the beta fot another year.
why release today? also, the insane amount of movies you make didnt make anything a surprise
in conclusion: i wanna see the weapons fixed, i dont wanna see HDoans "hur hur hur" spam anymore,less movies, and make some of your own stuff instead of taking models from other games and people.

looked good my gfx card sux so the brute hammer was untextured on mine and when i looked around in some places grey stuff would block my vision....its happened before not sure if it is my gfx card(probably is) or if it is something that happens when i dl the map i didnt see much like the missle pod though it was probably the way the gametype was set up

actually i threw a nade on one and one of the 2 dissapeared.....also when u shoot the plasma rifle u can still hear some of the h1 sound of it

it is a beta....


the halo3 beta had almost everything done
