Ok, I've been searching for it everywhere, and I cant find it, but how do you make a ground texture thats not just one solid texture, like just all grass? I want to make one with worn paths and stuff, and areas of sparse grass, not just a solid green eyesore. Does it involve making a specific bitmap prior to actually making the map, then overlaying it on the map? That was my assumption at least.

u need to uvw unwrap the ground then use like photoshop to edit it. use the alpha channel, white = primary detail map, black = 2nd detail map, or opposite. xfire maniac1000 if u still need help. Edited by Maniac1000 on Nov 23, 2007 at 09:10 PM

that is the right thing but its wrongly named or smthing coz i believe that is for paintshop pro. but it gives u the idea.
