do I need halo manual up date caues I cant seem to play halo ce no more I trid to play but It shut down on me.

I didnt update and I was able to play but now my dad uninstalled CE.

All I did was uninstall ce then renstall ce an I update it then I could play it agien even if it still sead I needed manual update.
