ok well i already made a thread called is it possible v1 so now its time for v2.

basicly, i check if the things i attempt to do are possible before i attempt, and possibly waste my time on. so heres the list


how about some interaction?

ability to change the ammo and maybe put on a scope to a gun (example: you pick up a weapon without a scope. you hit p and you switch ammo types, and put on a scope. you go from a rifle to a sniper rifle)

scenery that moves when a force acts upon it to move it

weather that effects your playing enviornment (snow that stays on the ground as it falls)

horizontal h2 physics

ragdoll dying physics?

vehilces with 3 guns and a seperate gunner for each

a WORKING phantom sound tag

silencers (you press t, you put on\remove a silencer)

a turret in which wen u use it you go prone (like the turret is on the ground)

stand, crouch, AND prone?

the ability to pick up a LMG gun (like the m60) and hit a button to mount it like in call of duty 2 and 3?

a way to play sound looping outside halo?

basicly thats all my wonders for now

I might be new here and all and may have little idea as to how you'd do it but someone could figure it out but

about movable environment objects, In halo 3, those objects have respawn points so the best thing one could do is make the objects vehicles that you cant drive. The whole "press e to <missing string> would be annoying, though. (think of the halo 3 ce coagulation jumper)

Prone is lying down and shooting. (on your chest) In hunting, its the most stable way to shoot an animal.

You can go prone, but you will be unable to crouch, seeing as it requires a new animation....

Couldn't you make the animation and have a script saying that when you hold the button assigned to crouch for more than a certain amount of time you go prone?

true. more like just make crouch the Q. no one ever uses flashlight in halo ce maps.

The flashlight can be made into many different things... I made a banshee with the flashlight button as a suicide explosive...

you could model a little sniper tower. make it a vehicle and have the seat just be laying down on top of it. IE- "hold "E" to go prone/snipe" only problem is i don't think you'd be able to move around in it, making you sniper bait.

Secondary trigger..

use a vehicle.. scenery doesnt sync, and physics dont effect em
weather that effects your playing enviornment (snow that stays on the ground as it falls)
there is impact effect, you could create lagworld I guess.. but it would probly lag you out of the server after the first 3 seconds

SP only, and besides.. if you have a silencer, why not just use it?...

the ragdoll dying physics wouldnt be true ragdoll but you could animate him to have less movement when he has a falling death but it still wouldnt be ragdoll as for the prone im pretty sure you could get the flashlight button and script it to prone and just make the animations and maybe the script would allow him to move but youd probably have to hold q but im not sure im not a scripter the snow thing is a biggggggg no no because of lag wouldnt it have to be like a partical that doesnt die or a scenery? but anyways and the mounting a gun to a vehicle i think would probably possible in sp only like what kirby said

i forgot i play to many video games, and most other people dont. ok so heres what LMG meens

lmg- light weight machine gun, meaning, like a mounted turret, but made lighter so a troops can carry it into battle and lay down a good amount of fire.


oh and stacker u bring up a good point. i never though of that.



also, is it possible to make the mariens better driver? (and im talking like as good as in h2.)

Yes, although my tests so far have shown me that physics seem to be noticed before the "contraption".... So I'm just gonna make a box vehicle to test the concept, gotta texture it when im done with this HW, then mb a test... Yay AI....

ok 1. guerilla DOESNT play sound looping files. when i open a sound looopign file in guerilla non of the butoons work, so u cant edit it or play it.

click a sound file in the left box, then move it by clicking the ">" button, then click play.
