Are there any? There is only one gmax tut (im using gmax) and it makes no sense. I need this base for a valhalla map I'm making. I don't want replys like "WELL MAKE IT YOUR SELF, YOU WANT IT, BLAH BLAH BLAH". The tut makes NO sense. If it did, would I be here? WEll, just answer the question.

<sigh>When ever you type anything like "Are there any..." fill in the blank. Try using the search feature on the main Halo CE site..

Yes Dennis, I searched.
What did you search for? What search criteria did you use? Did you search for Base models? Did use search for bases? I would like to know so I can better tune the search feature.

I think I searched Infinity base tags, base tags, structure tags, forrunner structure tags, forunner base tags, and forrunner tags. It would also be useful if you could browse tags. that will make life a whole lot easier for me.

I now see the problem. You were looking for tags. Most bases are part of the base model. You should have searched for "base models" as my example did. There are no Infinity style base “tags" just models. Second you can browse the tags. Look under "file sections" on the left hand menu and select the type of tag you want to browse through.

if its a .3ds file then you can use it in gmax. just go to file>import and locate the file.

i know what he is trying to do but i cant be bothered looking for him. so if he posts a link to the .max file he wants converted to .obj or .3ds then he will need to ask some1 if they would be kind enough to do it for him.

But there is a download for the base as a tag.

The only problem with using bases as tags is that it'll cause slight lag and have some flaws with it. My brother made a base model, put it in as scenery, and when you walk up to the Wasp and try to enter it, if you're too close, you fall through the ceiling due to the physics boundary around the wasp. Also, looking toward it, you would lag slightly. When he attached the bases to the model, it ran so much smoother, and no error with the wasp.

I would like to know so I can better tune the search feature.

you could add a advanced search so that you can search author name and the normal search, cause normal search will find you even if someone credited you, and sometimes I wana get one of my tuts for someone, but if someone credited me on it, I'd get all those resalts aswell... it gets kinda anoying.. lol

Wow I did make a readme but didnt give credit. Im sorry FireDragon04. I dont want credit for that file at all. Please dont use it. Nobody has published it into a map so please dont be the first. Please use H Guru's base tag.
