Wait, if 343 is a biped, but hes using vehicle physics, cant you just use the 343's physics found in the HPC campaign maps? or is 343 actually a vehicle?

dude.. all objects are more realistic when you can move em.. like rocks are moveable, they dont suddenly bond with the earth for life lol.. and scenery doesnt sync.. and its preaty obvious, Halo trial is preaty pathetic.. HCE has a billion more posibilitys, and you can add scripts, but there is still the tag proportion to function along side this.

the way it works is probably this:

primary gun fire button: pulls object
grenade button: pushes or vise-versa
and both held will hold object in mid-air

and you can carry it with flashlight on like the real forge.

I dont have the push/pull that strong, because its long range.. so you cant hold anything in the air with both triggers pressed.. if they where stronger, you could move a object verticaly up and down, but they arnt, so oh well lol

a vehicle, physics, you need a animation to get hte vehicle to even work right without errors lol. I also set mine to turret since I realy dont care what it does lol.

its not gonna be in the globals. you can only spawn things that are in globals.globals with cheat_all_vehicles, and besides.. its preaty usless without its scripts anyways lol

yes, there will be teleporters you can carry around (lol, that will be entertaining sitting up in the sky and people falling out of it.. or dropping a tele on someone, and they disaper lol)

spawn points are posible with items blocking spawn points and you remove them to re-enable the spawn point, but that would take a billion spawn points and abillion items to cover all the ones that wernt being used, so I wont be doing that

this is coming along real nicely, great job kirby, ive played on forge, but idk where you guys are getting this theater mode forge... theater is where u view your saved films, has nothing to do with it. before you start a forge game you can change to either have all players can become the monitor or just the host can become the monitor.

I use my magical portabla volume trigger on the tele vehicle (that might be cool having a hog with a tele instead of a turret O.o.. hmm..)

Best things to do in Forge, in my opinion.

One: Select Sandtrap as level. Place every fusion coil and plasma battery possible underneath the Elephant. Throw fragmentation grenade. Watch Elephant flip. Walk up to Elephant, read message: "Press RB to... Wait...What? How did you do that?"

Two: Choose any large level with vehicles. Spawn a scorpion/wraith. Find your opponent. Throw vehicle at him, gain splatter award. Repeat.

Three: Select Guardian as level. Place a bunch of gravlift equipment in random areas, and put multiple Gravlift scenery (with no respawn time). Put Gravity Hammers as only weapon. Set the default gravity in the game options to 50%, but do NOT set speed as 300%. Begin game, and watch the chaos that unfolds.


I'm still working on other fun things to do in Forge. xD; I love the last one though, it's so insane, but fun.

Okay, got one.

Four: Select The Narrows as level. Go to the two gravlaunches, and set the metal barrels, on their side (not vertical, but literally on their rounded side), in front of the gravlaunch, but make sure they aren't rolling. Set Gravity Hammers on the nearby wall. Have one person stand at each gravlaunch, and push a barrel into the launch. Have other person swing gravity hammer at oncoming barrel. Home run!



Wait, Kirby, you're making a Forge gametype kind of thing for CE? How is that gonna work? xD;

Sandtrap, 50% gravity, 300% speed, random starting weapons, random map weapons, recharging grenades= Chaotic, hectic, confusing fun. mess with some other features too its really fun.

Ah, I need an Xbox 360 and Xbox Live. xDD; I want to make so many awesome variants and release them on Live, it's not as fun to play them 3-player on system at my friend's house...

Question, how many of you have Xbox Live and/or Windows Live? o.o; Just tack that on a post on-topic.

Kirby, if you are making Forge for CE, you'll have to have like a little info in the readme.txt or something on how you manage to edit CE that much. xD; I wanna know how to do stuff like that, so that I can create my own gametype eventually. I have numerous ideas...especially Infection-type game. <<;

Are you talking about spawning the moniter with devmode? Thats kinda pointless without the scripts (generic no-named monitor = no scripts and no forge-like powers). If you figured out what he named it, you might get that to work but I doubt it.

As to where it would come out, it would either be where he intended it to be ort near the very first vehicle spawn point he placed in sapien. If its somewhere out of reach being used for a vehicle spawn sync script, you're out of luck.

when I make public tests, its still BG, then if I feel like releasing the acual thing depending on how easy it is to set up, or if its stable enough, then ill just release the files for others to use on there things, so when I release a test, its gonna be BG lol
