Was looking through the Halo Scripting Keyword document earlier today and came across some of this:

Quote:
Team (Value), can be either: Player, Human, Covenant, Flood, Sentinal
AI (Value), a "Encounters" value? (a block in the scenario tag)

(ai_set_team <ai> <team>) :: makes an encounter change to a new team
(ai_attach <unit> <ai>) :: attaches the specified unit to the specified encounter.

There were a few others that looked interesting but these were the key ones.

I've never messed with AI before so I don't know what some of this is really for. I kinda doubt players have the Team value but since I'm sure AI do, you could attach invisible ai to players, give those ai teams, then script nav points based on what was on the player.

I would need something like this for implementing Territories for CE. If this part worked, I could do some hud stuff so you had idea of what team you were on and who your teammates were, etc.

those are for setting team leaders marines follow and help you jackals and grunts follow elites anyway depending which you choose, you can have a rampant attacking ai thus the "assasin" option

So what exactly is an encounter then? I've noticed that there is a section in sapien for them.

This command looked interesting too:

(ai_debug_teleport_to <ai>) :: teleports all players to the specified encounter

but that depends on what an encounter is.

it is the exact location that you set up on a map where your ai are encountered by their set enemy

AI changing doesnt effect it, the player is the player. when I was doing the AI CTF game, I acidently linked blue AI brains to red players.. when the AI where in control, they where thinking blue, and saw red, and attacked the bodys, and then we kept getting betrayals untill ironclad was autobanned

he left the game since he flattened my group to many times with his shee, and autoban got him. alot of the other times I would perposely stop the AI just cause my body was to confused, and the players where brought out of sync

Yea... I was 2 feet away from Donut in a banshee... And stuck there going back and forth, with him flying back and forth in front of me... Good times, good times...

I was talking more about using the ai team commands to make new teams that affected the Players. That is not quite possible how I originally intended it.
