i dont seem to know what in the heck i am dong with this darn thing. i was just compiling a map and when i started to test it most of the new weapons and vehicles did not have names.
so i searched for a string editor and this one came up so i dl'd it. now i dont know how to use it and have searched for the past 2 days looking for a decent tut and was not able to find one.
if you know a link or know how to work this thing, it will be greatly appricieated if you tell me

Use the original version. That solved all my problems for doing unicode string lists.

is the origional version somewhat easier to use? because if it is not, i may not konw how to use it either

You'll want to use the one by SteelixB - its the second hit in this search: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?Search=string+editorIts easy to use, the commands are labeled and there is text that tells you how to do it. V2 doesn't do the formats right - you can do everything right and it will always be corrupted according to Guerilla. Thats why I use SteelixB's original. I honestly don't see what was different with v2 except that it had an annoying start screen and what I felt was a bad choice of colors.
