Well right when they released it I was amazed and interested in this new grenade. So I modeled it and hope to get it ingame. For the people who aren't as updated as some can go to this link and find out what I'm talking about. http://www.bungie.net/projects/halo3/content.aspx?link=h3fourthgrenade So now that your eyes have been sweetened with sugar I'm going to add on to that sweetness with some more eye candy. There it is.. and I'm looking for plenty of critizism. I'm also looking for help to texture this bad boy. Thankyou for looking at my work.

nice!!! do you have animations for it yet? btw that drawing makes it look like an antz kicking rocket if you manage to make it look and funtion as shown on your link then lets see what that thing can do (what kind of map do you suppose it will be placed in?)

Switchblade, it doesnt need anims, nade throwing anims are in the biped.

thankyou I finished putting all the appropriate smoothings on and right now fatso is workin on making texures. I'll keep everyone updated... and Ganon just for you ill get a pic of the wireframe and ill tell you how many polies.

I beleive that was a flare grenade that blinded people, this is a napalm/molotov type grenade, it burns. ^ Thats in reply to Masters.

Just because theres a transport hog in H3, doesn't mean it was first made for it....
From the dojo final readme:
Lens_Grenade (very nice grenade, use at your own risk. this can be helpful if u see someone in a distance about to run you over with their fast vehicle) - this emmits a power lens flare that can make it impossible to see passed making it good for hiding in a short period of time or use it to escape. when this detonates, it has a wide range of explosion. throw this at far distances only...

Well the reason I am back with this grenade is because I want to finish it and finally have it completed. Yea Thats what I thought the one day that's why I asked you. But I was thinking maybe it could be used as a weapon sortove or maybe i could make it so you can only hold one and there is only one spawn of it on a map.

its a grenade though, idk how many faces are too much for grenades though. but its not your average round grenade. its got more detail. thats why its in halo 3.

I think it looks fine that way it is. 448 faces is nothing practically. and if he optimizes it to reduces it to that, it will have horrible smoothing issues.

That is pretty good... Just make sure you make a multipurpose map and make it glow a bit on the orange and red parts....
And for the poly count, don't worry about it. Its not like you're going to throw it and it exception because theres so many polies... I'd be more worried about the flames causeing lag/exception... Edited by Caboose117 on Aug 24, 2007 at 04:28 PM
