OK i have posted this sevral times in the past: How do you open SP scenario files probarly in Sapien\Guerilla\Tool without getting big error!!! I can't do this task for HEK will not let me so:

Heres everything I did:

-got tutorials
-did exactly wht the tutorial said like 15 times or more
-got errors
-tried everything i could
-recursivly extracted files
-reinstalled HEK 15 times
-got peop-les advice still won't work

Heres what Tutorial Says:

SOLUTION: You're being denied access to the SP maps. Back up your tag set and reinstall HEK. Then use HEK+ to **Recursively** extract the SP map.

Bungie put some sort of anti-sapienopener in their SP maps. None of them will open in sapien as far as i know. Most of the MP maps will however. heres wut you can do.

1. reinstall the hek 1 more time
2. extract tags but make sure hek+ is NOT set to overwirte tags
3. create a new scenario using the sp maps BSPs
4. or, if you just want to do a halo pc to ce conversion of the SP maps, extract all the tags (not overwirting any) and compile the map
5. As long as you don't open it in sapien (which is pretty much impossible anyways) the scripts should remain intact and the map should load fine in halo ce.

you should try using kornmans version of the hek. its generaly eaiser to use and several options unlocked with its programs.

otherwise opening a campaign scenario in sapien is pointless.
the whole ACCESS_VIOLATION thing is a big telltale in these kinds of situations.
you should be able to open SP scenarios in guerrilla and tool. if not try with kornmans version it will probably work.

I can open them up in sapien. I just DELETE everything except scenery, sound scenery and bsps. Works great when you want to customize the level.
