I blame Grif..... stupid stupid Grif. Anyway He just took them out entirely. It was fun while it lasted though (i guess... i'm talking about what it said though...... ok so it was fun for Dennis... whatev.) I remember the cat now.... does Dennis even have a cat?

Ganon didn't make it... someone on his team did... but I can't think of his name..... duno why.

it's not catastrophic to me just drastic as it seems after one thread with one major argument has pretty much made this happen. But things change everyday in life and as humans we can adapt. But maybe one major thing was enough for Dennis, it's his forum he knows what he wants.

would some of us do things differently, of course but everyone has different ideas on how forums should be.

there is no right or wrong way to manage a forum as it's all opinions. But still we have a good community, Not seeing post counts under our user names won't take away from the community so it's all good.

i never said that i didn't like the forum ganon, im fine with it. i was not arguing on that part. lol i think by now i know who owns this forum ganon lol. im not going to (word for female dog) and moan as it won't help at this point. He has made his final decision nothing we can say or do will change it.

as long as we at least got our usernames it's good. lets just hope no one abuses the avatar quote now.

Also, I made that pic of Dennis' cat. Ganon and I came up with it so we could blame something on why the site can be so slow sometimes. We said that the cat sits on the server.

It's why Halomaps runs so slow occasionally. Although I think Flat Stan might be doing it, too.

Yeh go read his blog..... he's got a nice sence of humor that is kinda similar to mine.... but I laugh at things that aren't funny to others.... but those people hate me and are "the cool popular people everyone loves" makes me sick... it's just stupid.

i have seen evidence of almost every one here (and i mean pretty much every person, i am not excluding anyone including myself) count their posts from time to time. Rarely did it ever influence a conversation or cause a heated debate. just cause some takes 2 seconds to look at their post count does not mean they don't make meaningful posts. Pretty much i have seen most of this community at times look at their count and still for the most part people make good posts. the important thing is our community is still good.

the thing is though taking the post count away from under the user name will not solve the problem. people can still search in the member list for post count and still do the same things.

yah.. ppl who have a high post count get respected by the new members... now were all the same... no flavor... dont know the difference between a new member and a senior member (asside from silly questions like map requests and bloodgulch mods)

i call my self a medium-new member... but still... higher post count = more respect... new members belive everythin you say!

not nesesarily i dont beleive most things people tell me unless they prove it to me regardless of post count. Wellllll if cmt told me something i would beleive it

well would you listen to someone with one post which said "no, you cant edit a map"

well you actually still can by looking up posts in the member list, but it's not worth really doing that to prove you are an active member. with this online community you get respect several ways, the least of which is posts. If you looked at just posts as respect then you would be making a false judgement. Dennis does not get respect from his post count, if you only thought posts meant respect then caboose would get the most respect here. You get respect by helping people, being active (thats all higher posts count mean, is that you are more active. since we don't got a spam problem here 95% of the posts made are proper ones), being a good modeler, modder, mapper and over all just being someone people can talk to and maybe share a few laughs.



why? nothing wrong with calling yourself a senior member. All that really means is that you have been here for awhile and are active. It's not a term degrading to others.



I think the more active you are the most respect you get, it just so happens that the more active you are the more posts you make. I am one of the top active members here, i won't lie. But someone like Kenney who has many less posts then i gets more respect here, as he has experience i can't hope to match.
