Ok, this is the second time I've posted this, the other time, I didn't get any replies, so:

I have uploaded my newer version of Dam Defense, but I realized something, I am used to on Halo 2 where you can't drive vehicles with the flag, you can only get in the side of the Warthog. On Halo 1, you can drive any vehicle. I designed my map thinking you couldn't drive a vehicle, so I kept the flag in the open. Now all you would have to do is drive a Banshee down and steal the flag, and hop back in.

Is there ANY way to change this?? Make it where you can only get in the side seat of the Warthog with the flag?? Help would be greatly appreciated.

i do not think you can do that. i looked around in guerilla and did not see a way to do that.
i think you may just in your next release have to put the flag in a more protected place.

Yeah, but I'm not the greatest at attaching "square/rectanglular" objects to the terrain, I have before plenty, but it takes quite a bit of time.

Well, I would want it to be in the passenger, just like on Halo 2.

scripts.
(global object_definition flag "weapons\flag\flag")
(script continuous p1flagvehicles
(if (= (unit_has_weapon (unit (list_get (players) 0)) flag) 1)
(unit_exit_vehicle (unit (list_get (players) 0))))
)

if player0 (p1 in reality) has the flag, he gets out of his vehicle, it will constantly do that untill flag is no longer held, you might wana change it abit so it doesnt repeat the comand as often (cause it will try over and over again currently)

just mess around with this a bit

unless you wana replace the part of kicking the person out of the seat with like 40 other scripts for each individual vehicles seats in the map to lag the whole thing up more, then no
(and you currently could get in a vehicle with that script, it just kicks you out right away)

In the final version just post a gametype that makes it so you cant. There is a section in the gametypes right?

No, I thought there were, but there isn't. That is just in Halo 2. I just assumed it would be that way in Halo 1.

(unit_set_enterable_by_player <unit> <boolean>)
(unit_enter_vehicle <unit> <vehicle> <string>)

I'm too tired to actually write out the script for this, but it'd go something like this:

(global short number 0)

(script continuous flag
; If player and vehicle can "see" each other by biped looking method
; or gridded trigger volumed - probably biped looking, because you could
; restrict that to the one side of the hog...

(if (= (unit_has_weapon_readied (list_get (player) number) flag) true)
(beign

(unit_set_enterable_by_player hog1 false)

(if (= (player and hog can "see" each other) true)
(begin
(unit_set_enterable_by_player (unit (list_get (player) number)) true)
(unit_enter_vehicle hog1 passenger)

; --^ line might not be needed... I dunno

)
)

)
)

)

Hardest part is attaching and making the invisible bipeds...

Ohhh, yeah, BTW, Tarzan, weren't you the one that made the death box trigger script thingy???
