Consoles and PC are both great for their respective purposes. Consoles for when you want to chill out in front of your TV with friends and not worry about anything, and PC for when you want to use mods, or push graphical boundaries. I never got the point of crusading on the internet in favor of one or the other.

doble comment Ha... I've been having so much problems with my internet provider... I should change. Quote: --- Original message by: Rododo Don't think so. Consoles are expensive, way more limited than any pc, fragmented into several different platforms, but surely not dead. Consoles are cheaper than a gaming PC and its hardware last longer, and you don't have to worry about minimum requirements of games. Most console games are available on all platforms, with a few exceptions. Remember that consoles had been, are and allways will be the parents of gaming and the base of it. PC gaming is awesome, but surely not the best option for lots of people. Yes and no. 1st) Yes, consoles are relatively less expensive. BUT If I had to choose between spending 300$ for a stuff I can use for nothing but to play and spending 300/400 for a stuff I can actually use for almost everything (including gaming, turning the settings down) I'd immediately go for the second, unless I have MUCH money to spare (and I don't) 2) Most games are on all consoles, but not all. The KH series has never been on the XBox (though the 3 is rumored to be there), Final Fantasy has never been on the XBox, AFAIK, Halo is Microsoft exclusive, as for now, and same goes for many other big titles. I'm not nerd enough to know every game, but, as for now, I think PC gaming is actually a lot better. Think of it: want to play, I don't know, Magic the Gathering or Yugioh? On the console you are stuck with old cards. On pc you just have to download it, and the cards are always up to date. Want to play some cheap game just to have some fun? There you go, flashgame for you. Want to play MMORPG? You are served, just download Metin2, 4story or WoW. And I could go on this way all day long. And don't forget that pc can actually emulate all the smaller consoles, thus having access to an almost endless supply of different games. GBA, NDS, PS2, SNES among the others, but not only. 3) PC gaming is the best option for everyone whose money do not fall from the sky (me, for example) Anyway, I am afraid I am going OT, this is not a PC vs consolle thread. Edited by Rododo on Jul 28, 2014 at 04:48 PM Y u hate me? I don't like to write :(You can allways have a PC and a console, even a powerful PC and a console. All the stuff you'll need to do with a PC don't require the power to run a next gen game at full power. You can buy a decent PC and that's all. Probably you'll spend less buying a console+normal PC than a gaming PC. It just depends on your needs and your budget (why'd you want to turn it down? Because it can't run a game? That's no problem with a console). Of course they have exclusives, just like PC and portable consoles. It's one of the few things that people look for when buying a gaming device. I'm not saying PC is bad (not at all, since my work consist on making custom builds at the moment :P), I'm saying consoles are as good, if not better (depending on your situation) than pc. Decent PC to run games: $600 Current gen console: $400 Total: $1000 __ Sexy, stunning gaming PC: $1200-$5000, depending on how powerful you want it to be. As I said, it all depends on your needs, your budget and your tastes. I'm a multiplatform player (I think the word "gamer" is overrated lol). If a decent PC costs you 600$ and a "super sexy" PC cost you 1200$ you are budgeting wrong. My PC is only worth about 400$ and I have been able to run things like Metro: Last Light and Crysis to your basic browser games quite smoothly. I would even go as far as to say my PC looks pretty nice but that's down to opinion.

Quote: --- Original message by: BKTielQuote: --- Original message by: Echo77 I think they're going to do a single main cannon that fires two rounds in quick succession, but don't hold me to that. I'm hoping they go that route, because I'm not a big fan of the dual cannon layout. WHERE WOULD WE BE WITHOUT REALISTIC RECOIL MECHANICS INDEED!!? I'm not sure where recoil mechanics came up, but I'd much rather have one higher-caliber cannon than two piddly ones that take up the same amount of space (unless I'm to function in a primarily anti-aircraft role, of course). Quote: --- Original message by: Masters1337 It's only an assault carbine because that's what we named it, the weapon performed very poorly in a SP environment. You could just run up to someones head and pull the trigger and fire fully automatic headshot bullets. It's an assault carbine because that's what it is canonically. The MA5K is to the rest of the MA5 series what the M4 is to the M16 series. The weapon's performance in CE didn't really match up to this, but performance can be easily modified in Guerrilla. The MA5K should, in theory, reside somewhere between the SMG and the MA5B... however, seeing as the MA5B in Combat Evolved is already a pray'n'spray SMG-like weapon, it's hard to say how the carbine should actually perform. Edited by AntonMK14 on Jul 28, 2014 at 06:10 PM

Edited by AntonMK14 on Jul 28, 2014 at 06:10 PM I believe it would be more likely to reside between the SMG and the MA5C. The MA5B acts like a submachine gun in Combat Evolved, so I don't think trying to put the K's performance between that and the M7 would really work without first revising the B's performance. Just some minor feedback and suggestions: I'd say requests but I'm sure you guys have bigger priorities. The mod looks fantastic but from everything I've seen I only have two suggestions: firstly if it isn't too much effort, the pine trees on the mission halo (and others if applicable) can you make the branches sway? Seems minor but the perception of wind makes video games seem exponentially more realistic (literally been studies on this, minor changes in a simulations "perception" will make the play seem much more emmersed than any amount of visual fidelity ever could) and secondly will the water physics be altered in anyway ie refraction etc and if not will it bee visually overhauled? Cuz kinda sticks out with the way everything else looks but other than that, damn. Halo ce still got it..

I did not think of this but now that you mention it, definitely true. 343i added some life to the plants in Halo CE Anniversary, and it definitely helped the immersion factor. It was most noticeable at the start/finish of Guilty Spark.
