For once, I agree with Masterz. The only main way it would work is if you had her flying over in the same area where the Spirit flies over where the hog is. Replace the spirit with 419, and have banshees pursuing her. Tbh, I don't think it should be changed. It really is a dumb idea.

This is a campaign mod/changeup makeover. Doing things differently and new to change it up is the way to go!

Time for my annual check in.
Just wanna say keep up the great work, I'm as excited to play the full mod as I was when I first heard about spv2. Just take your time and everything should pan out just fine.
On a side note, I've realized I've literally grown a beard since I started waiting for this mod. Had about 5 jobs, graduated from school, read the whole a song of ice and fire series, read all major religious texts (Koran, Bible, Torah, etc.),gotten in great shape, literally seen administrations rise and fall, gone through about 6 long term relationships, seen Duke Nukem and Black Mesa come out, survived the apocalypse, and learned a new language.
Mind you I'm including the time I've lurked here as well but Jesus. Seriously though, take your time, even if it takes 50 more years I'll still be waiting.
Sincerely, Your creepy stalker fan

Regarding a new computer, the truth is I only use Windows these days for one thing, and that is CE. I don't really like having to always be at my desk either to work. I also don't like PC games, nor need a tower PC when mine is still fine for basic stuff, which I built summer 07.
I'm just getting the next Retina Macbook Pro. I need a new laptop as well, and it'll be roughly the same price if I were to get a new Macbook to replace my current one, as well as replacing my desktop. It's an awesome machine, and I can run windows in a VM as well as with a dual boot when I need too. The current gen one is more than capable of running SPV3 in a VM, and when I need to do stuff such as record, I can do so in bootcamp.

You'd of course have to change up the spot where Echo419 appears, ect but still I think it'd actually be a kinda cool idea to at least react to Echo419's crash I agree. And i always found it stupid that the autumn was sliced in half and connected by such a small bridge anyway :/ It was just a notch in the spine of the ship, not the whole thing. It just looks large because the ship is massive. It's still a pretty stupid design. Quote: --- Original message by: xnx Well then again, when has CMT ever done something sloppily? Well, I think if implemented with a specific function and encounters they could be a nice addition. Though, throwing them in willy-nilly interchanged with elites is kind of sloppy.
They felt pretty awful in the SPV2 A10 beta.
But the very beginning of A30.yelo featured a brute-pack encounter after mopping up the traditional enemies. I though it felt appropriate, especially with the sniper involved.

I dislike brutes in Halo 2, those are the worst. In Halo 3 they're not so tough, no more than elites in any other game.

No, seriously - actual question. (I haven't been here for so long.) I think it could be argued that by today's standards that SPV1's starting to look kinda sloppy. This. I remember playing through SPv1 and constantly expected more of an experience. It was, at it's very core, as simple "swap this out for that" mod. Many of the things that were done seemed to merely be done to see if they could. Not if they should. Same thing goes for many elements in their other works. Brutes are a good example. Nobody likes Brutes in any circumstance, yet CMT insists upon including them, as if to think that if they redid the Brutes, then the Brutes would magically become amazing. Yeah, that was pretty much what we did with SPV1, swap cool ideas in and try new things we hadn't seen before. The brutes in SPV2 were initially added so we could have brutes, and weren't really thoughtful additions, and in the end became reskinned elites with different weapons. Bungie was always strange with the brutes, at first they appeared to be something that would work alongside the Covenant, then they seemed to want to be something stronger than an elite, weaker than a hunter. Then in H3 they wanted them to be easier elites. Reach I thought had a cool idea where they were shock troops that were easier to take down as an elite, but just as dangerous in their attacks with an interesting headshot mechanic. The new SPV3 Brutes most resemble the reach ones. They have attacks and firing behavior similar to elites, but are easily stunned by weapon fire. However, since you often encounter more than one brute in an encounter, while one is stunned the others will attack you. Damage you do to them that causes flinching is permanent (they all have like 10 shield points, just to prevent them from automatically flinching from a stray bullet. Like Reach, the helmets can be shot off in order to get a kill with a headshot weapon, but with ours you can use any weapon you want to knock the helmet off. Later missions will introduce our specop brutes, who have weak energy shields, enough to protect them from a single needler explosion or a stray infection form. It is rare we swap out a brute to replace an Elite, but in the few encounters where we think both an elite or brute pack will work, the encounter is rescripted to utilize a brute pack, rather than simple randomizing the spawns. Most encounters are elite or brute specific, and the plans we have for later in the game will split the two races in their roles even more. Right now, our Covenant enemies from weakest to strongest are Grunts Jackals Skirmishers Brutes Elites Hunters with active camo Elites and Jackal Marksmen ranks existing outside the regular hierarchy. Oh yeah. We have Skirmishers now.

Halo 2 Brutes were just damage sponges, I just killed them by sticking them as they ran towards me. I don't think Bungie was too creative at that point.
