It looks good model wise, but those textures aren't that amazing (well, at least your UV isn't), you can really see the seams between parts of the hull and its going to stand out really fast once you have shaders applied to it.

Pick a better blue color for the windows. Also that radar dish looks a bit tacky and vulnerable where it is. Might wanna move that somewherez else...

No.
As much as I love Mass Effect, this in no way is a reference to a flying colony of deformed husks.

No, I'd really REALLY have to disagree with you there, especially when it's based of a frigate and some Mas Effect stuff....

Detail objects are painted on in sapien, you can adjust the density and brush size, incase you dont know.

I don't think there is a way to get it to move or sway in the wind.
It has no shader to speak of as it is just a collection of bitmaps that always face the player.

You could make it a scenery file and animate it, though that takes up alot of memory.

The problem with that tall grass is that it will fade in and out very noticeably since the detail objects distance parameters don't seem to work all too great. Not that it doesn't look nice, if just a little blurry :)

Lol, if I could I would.
I only have the textured and well rigged model. I think it is rigged to the halo 3 bones.
Anyone is welcome to this max file (or a max8) to use for whatever you want, I don't think it would be hard to make a biped from it.
The bones are also constrained to a biped for mocap for easy posing :)
I am gone for 4 days though.
Also, nice textures there pope.

You still need to make more use of the Cut tool and create unique shapes and geometry.
I can pretty clearly reconstruct how you made that setpiece by using the basic 3DS Tools such as inset, bevel etc...

Can you release the bitmaps in tif format so that they're uncompressed (please no extracting from the .bitmap file because then it's already compressed and lower qualtiy)?
