all this talk of busses made me want to make one:



NOTES:
1: its not done
2:gonna detail as i go, as in interior etc, might get a bit high poly, as what happens when i get carried away
3: once im done anyone that wants it can have it. will post more as i progress
4: i know wheel wells need work ill do it later, might make the baggage compartments, done know yet

Seats on a bus dont look quite like that.
Also, you pushed the wireframe geometry a bit too much, I can see in between. Push it to about "0.002" or "0.003"

I won't be negative in my whole post and nit pick at little things like Bo likes to.

That model looks decent, the only new model I have seen in a while. I don't really see anything wrong with it tbh. It would look fine in-game.

Nice bus, you should make there be some way to get inside to walk around without being in a seat, you could just leave the door out on the collision model but that would be a bit weird... will it have all the passenger seats useable?

imagine the ENTIRE team sitting in the bus on a run to CTF...
rocket flies towards bus, and.....KILLTACULAR x 2!

gravemind, it has a door, which probobly be closed when driver enters(or is the firing trigger to cloose the door)
well its a large vehicle so if ppl sit apart some might survive....lol

haha good point, but if you filled the back with ai's u could use a script to make them all get out when a press jump or zoom and they could attack the enemy, although the enemy would also have to be ai cuz it wont sync...

What i meant bout the door was, if you leave out the door when making the collision model, you could just walk thru it and up the back although opening and closing it with firing animations like you said is a better idea

yea its easier but it would look funny... I count 35 seats on the bus, but a vehicle tag only allows 16, i guess you could leave out a few pairs of seats and/or have one person per two seats

edit: a biped tag also allows seats, if you make a fake biped with markers that line up with the seats you could have an extra 15 seats. Its a bit of a crazy idea but it might work, although its probably not worth it

yep, usualy jsut model stuff and let ppl use how they want, but i wanna try, sicne i am trying to learn new stuff, u know challenge myself :P(*note no never fully finished a vehicle lol.iv only modeled them.

You have some geometry in there that doesn't need to be attached to the actual mesh

'cause the storage area i also wanna make another version of this into some kind of storage bus, like remove most of the seats and make ti full of either weps or ammo or health etc, and bottom luggage area has more powerful things(obviously not drivable). no i haven't made physics models, which is another thing i wanna learn :P
