update on my mk4/mk5 prototype
i have been working on this for a wile but havent for a few months so i decided to go back and add a few details so here is my latest update

Since the chest piece is a painted piece of metal, I think it should be a bit less shiny.

I got bored of messing with my map today so I threw this together in like half an hour for the same project sir manbutt was supposed to be in. Not really an excuse, but hey, I try :P



Basically for this one I tried the approach that other artists in the genre I'm trying to break into have done like

where you only really model the basics with no subd and add the rest in via textures.

Something still strikes me as off about the anatomy though. This was basically from memory with no refs, so kinda to be expected, but I'd like to get closer to the examples I linked to in terms of detail etc.

Very nice! The best I ever managed for "hologram" bipeds was to apply the shimmering electrical field shader from the teleporters on Extinction to a biped model.

Well, I made it just for show it's possible to create cool things with halo 1 stuff.
