The cubemap isnt reacting well with the gauntlet, since the specular map isnt bright enough probably. Will do that soon.

If you look at his eyes, you will find that he is a retard.

All you do is rename the bones and delete the finger bones and that physic control bone and rig the fingers of the mesh with the hand bone.

well, and the reach elite has longer legs, toe bones, and the arms are to the side instead of in front. and it's fatter, and it has a larger head, and it has a shorter neck, yadda yadda yadda.

I think it's better to scale the model parts to the bones then re rig it.
Making a proper rig from scratch is always the best way for porting

Dalek that's awesome !

FX0042, looking good good for a start (make more shiny), except visor ! Change the reflection setting in the shaders models, change the cubemap, take a50 cubemap outside, or maybe in the elite folder, take the cubemap dark gray. Or other good cubemap for the visor. Sorry bad english ya know, i'am bored.

The grunt's rig is as good as its going to get using halo reach weights. And i slapped some 5 minute os shaders on it for the sake of showing the model ingame

I am doing my first rig using the skin modifier on the halo reach elite. Everything looks quite good, in my opinion, except for the armour on the pelvis. Will post pics soon for crit.

not to start any kind of argument, but using OS does not automatically make a map look better

OS simply lets you do more with your map, but a shoddily made .map will still be shoddily made in .yelo

so yes, it can be lazily done, but for those who know how to take advantage of OS, you can make things even better, provided you are willing to put the work into it.
