This model is extracted from the Tron Evolution game, which uses the Unreal Engine 3. I take no credit for the assets included. The model and textures were extracted using a publicly released tool, but obviously, you must have purchased the game to have access to the compiled assets in the game.

Wow...thanks Advancebo, me and a friend discussed making a Tron multiplayer map after playing Tron 2.0...good timing! See what we come up with in a month, just need to get the light cycles and light runners in game.

I think it'll work good for an mp biped, since the yellow lights are really white, and you can use that as player color for multiplayer.

If you mean the beam of light that trails behind, its partially possible, you can make it a contrail, like the banshee smoke, but I wouldn't know how to make it collide-able and have it "spit" out at the same time, even through animations.

I can release the light-cycles too, but the only problem is that the normals come out corrupted.

You can't make a killer contrail? Even with scripts? awww....

Make the contrail spawn bipeds. Have the destruction effect lethal, so when you fun them over, they asplod. They can also die after a certain amount of time.

The 4th Gen lightcycle from the game would be nice :P , we already have a 5th generation bike like the ones in the new movie, just need to get it ingame properly.
Anyhow...gonna need to make a new topic later, this one is not the best place to discuss this...

The suits are built from foam latex and Spandex, with electrified "Light Tape" built in to create the illuminated effect.

neither did i untill i looked it up,
amazing work went into that movie, especially seeing it's from the early 80's

EDIT...have a quick read...

Of most obvious interest is the fact that TRON pushed the computer graphics technology of the time to its limits and beyond. And – despite many who have said that its graphics are primitive, they're confusing resolution with texture-mapping. The truth is, the number of colours displayed and the resolution shown in the computer-generated components in TRON is higher than most desktop displays – even today. To output to film with the level of sharpness and smooth gradients seen in TRON, you'd need at least 24 or 32-bit colour, with a horizontal resolution of approximately 3000 to 4000 pixels. On top of that, it was the first film to use transparency in 3D CGI (the solar-sailor simulation). To my knowledge, texture-mapping didn't exist in 1982. Fortunately, the lack of texture mapping works well with the stylized look of the film's 'world inside the machine.'

You know those fp arms have been released right lol.

E: Acutely I could pull up the old model and shaders, do a quick fix and release it but I'm not going to be an ass about it, just fix the shaders hydrogen and it will be fine.
